I think I'll stay completely out of this one. I don't like the show, and its characters. It's not a bad theme, though. It makes a lot of sense to have it.

If it's just the latter I'll say I'll skip it, but buy it up immediately if I see it in-stores because that's just how my brain works with amiibo and I CAN'T HELP IT .

Has anyone named any of their weapons by any chance?

I call the Zink Mini Splatling just "The Zonk" and the Slosher-type weapons are "Bucket", "Triple Bucket" and "Hyper Bucket".
But I'm not sure if you can actually name your weapons in this game, and most of the names are, ahem, clever enough that I don't exactly wish I could.

I name weapons after good time I have with them. I call my Mini Splatling "Mr. Beanie" because I owned Kelp Dome using both it and a Short Beanie.

I have named my Heavy Splatling "Mr. Moto", my Zink Mini Splatling "Mr. Visor", my Hydra Splatling "Mr. Shades", my Areospray RG "Johnny", Areospray MG "Brucey", and Areospray PG "Stevey". That's it so far.

Was thinking about Nintendo peripherals and remembered that THIS exists:

The Wii Speak would be perfect to use instead of the Gamepad mic.

So the Splatoon 2 E3 Invitational was sort of amazing and reinvigorated how much I want the game as soon as it comes out. Highest-end gameplay with crazy close matches and some genuinely good commentary that gives me a deeper insight of a game I already loved? Yes please!

I'm still getting the game, but I'm waiting for actual new weapons that weren't in the first game before I openly admit hyped-ness. I want Rapid Blaster Dualies.
I did like the commentary, though, and was genuinely surprised by the team that won. I find it a bit silly that the tournament was for a game that technically wasn't even released yet.
Salmon Run looks super intense and messy and I LOVE IT.

Spla2n looks rad. Shame I don't really have a snowball's chance in hell of playing it, but still.

The end is...interesting to me. Mostly because the idea of having an octoling celebrity is a little odd, considering the fact the octarians are rather visibly still enemies. Maybe that'll get expanded upon a bit in story mode. After all, Callie and Marie were main characters there, it would make sense to include this idol pair too.

Considering the credits of Splatoon showed the Octarians and Inklings getting along, things have probably progressed a bit. Since Callie seems to have been kidnapped, maybe the single player will play into a kind of last ditch effort to keep the war going when it's been collapsing since 2 years ago with DJ Octavian's defeat.

I'd love for there to be a splatfest for Squid Sisters vs. Off the Hook eventually.

You mean squid sisters Vs. Marina and her Hanger On, right?

Yeah, they definitely can't just do a match between the two hosts like last time, that fight would be over before it fucking started, to be frank.

I'm sure Pearl has her purposes. Like cleaning under the sink and ankle-biting. Going to bet if they get Amiibo though it'll be a two-pack only. No one would pay full price for half the plastic.

But it'd be neat to eventually see a battle of the bands in a Splatfest.

Is nobody going to mention the crayon gun?
