I know, right? It's like Nintendo completely forgot about all of the Flagship-developed games.

I've heard they're also including a character from PH and/or ST. It's probably Linebeck, but Byrne is another possibility.

Oh my god this My Fairy thing on HWL is insane.

Rack up KOs stages. The ones that constantly supply you with Magic.
Guess how many KOs I managed with the Fairy in 3 minutes.
3,619

My Fairy hasn't even gotten any new abilities either, she can get way more powerful.

I feel like Phantom Zelda would be more likely than Linebeck, honestly.

Doing the Great Sea adventure map now, trying to figure out what Warriors costumes are referencing.

Just unlocked Volga's.
Guess who?

Hah! That's adorable, I'm bummed Vaati isn'there, but I think Nintendo kind of avoids using him because he was used mostly in games by Capcom. I know 4 swords adventures and probably 4 swords were fully Nintendo, but I know he was given most meat in the Capcom game.

I really oughtta play Minish Cap, I loved a link between worlds so I'll probably love this too.

Pretty sure they've been ignoring the Oracle games for the same reason.

It looks like Marin might use the Sea Lily's Bell as a weapon; wouldn't be surprised if the other Instruments of the Sirens appear too. Maybe Bow-Wow could also show up…?

So I've got HW Legends. I wasn't sure if it would be worth it, but I knew I could offer it if it was just a port. I had hoped it would get save transfer (like MH3U) so that I could progress on the go, but it hasn't got that. Bummer. Yet, I found through reviews that it's got story bits exclusive to it, and the My Fairy customizable stuffs. I also heard that it's done improvements, but they weren't very clear about that.
So, I ask: What more has it got over the Wii U version, and do you think it's worth preferring over?

Definitely.
The Wii U's only advantage to me is its graphics. Everything else feels so much better on Legends. (Aside from Challenge Mode which no longer exists but I never used it anyway.)
It works great, you feel like you have more control over battles with character switching.
Fighting Giant Bosses is much easier. For one, The Imprisoned doesn't get up each 1/3rd of his WPG, you can take it all in one go.
If you have multiple playable warriors that you can switch to, having them together against a boss makes it easier to take down.
2 Warriors makes you gain magic on hit, like special. 3 increases how much the bosses WPG goes down, 4 increases damage to the boss.

The reason you can't transfer data is because of just how much changed. Everything is rebalanced.
In addition to characters you unlock in Legend Mode, every character you don't now unlocks in Adventure and all weapons in the first map are level 1. Higher level weapons are on different maps.
For example, what used to be Link's Level 3 Great Fairy is now Young Link unlock.

You saw above what My Fairy can do. Even if you're using a character who isn't that great at crowds My Fairy can push you so far ahead. I now actively look for Magic Pots just to use the Fairy more.

Sounds awesome. Are the fewer displays of enemies on-screen not a significant slow-down?

So far I've never lost an A rank due to not having enough KOs or passing time limit.

In fact I feel like I'm getting stuff done much faster.
Plus with the help of said Fairy.
Very easy to get between 200-500 KOs in a single cast if you're in a well populated area as the Fairy knocks out unrendered enemies.
I only managed that 829 because it was a Rack Up KOs stage which has tons of monsters around. :p

The only time I really feel it slowing me down is if I've got an NPC ally in a keep as allies will take up some of the rendering spots making less enemies appear but on most maps that's not much of an issue. Also it only seems to be keeps that Allies take render priority. I usually find wandering enemies like Raid Captains and such are always visible over grunt allies.

And I haven't mentioned this but the Fairy magic attack is just a single button press that casts straight away like a special attack.
Fairies use up 60%-100% of the magic gauge depending on what you've got them wearing, 2 same-element clothing that reduces cost means you only need 60% of the gauge to cast, and only need to pick up one more small jar to cast again if you were at 100%.

And this is the range of the attack. (Keep sizes for scale.)
Image

Oh I almost forgot this part.
Adventure map isn't always "You must use this character."
There are some where you have to but there are many where is says restricted, but then lets you bring another warrior or 2 of your choice, which you can freely switch between in battle.
In above picture with fairy magic range, it was a Darunia restricted, but let me take a second fighter. I took Tingle because I love his attacks where he floats into the air and explodes a massive bomb. :p

While I'm on about Fairies and stuff, here's what my main fairy looks like.
Image
I do have Demon Lord clothes for her, but no matching headwear so she's got Royal on for now. :p

I renamed her Shayla because her default name was Snorre, which sounds too much like Snore. Shayla sounds much better IMO.

In case anyone else is interested, Ganon is in the upcoming Death Battle.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they take into account that he can typically only be defeated or killed by the holiest of weapons (Master Sword, Four Sword, Light Arrow, Silver Arrow, magic of the Sages); that could give him the edge over Bowser. On the other hand, they may very well note that it was technically possible to kill him with the wooden sword in Oracle of Ages/Seasons. That seems like something they'd do.

An additional character in restricted missions would be great, since you could always bring your best character to help your weak character. I've got too many weak characters that I need to level up so that they can get their best weapons, in the Wii U version.

While looking for grinding spots (a lot of which are deep into maps I haven't progressed into), I found that max rupee glitch. It would help a lot, so I decided to try. After hours, I've still not managed to pull it off. Help.

I've never played a Dynasty Warriors game, but I picked up Legends yesterday and good god this is a lot to process.

Also I only have a 3DS XL and wow, that framerate. It's still playable but wow.

On HWL.
Been getting more used to Tetra and Toon Link.
Used to think they didn't have much range. I was using them wrong.
Pretty much spam their final combo to take out keeps. :p

Also now actually using Ganondorf's Great Swords properly, now I destroy the world instead of getting my face crushed.

And Phantom Ganon is a lot easier to beat than I originally thought.
Just gotta hit back his energy balls then when he dual wields, roll around to his back and attack his back. Like parrying Ganondorf at the end of Wind Waker.
