Chiefly it made nights way way darker. It also mucks around with the lighting and gets rid of the vanilla overlay, but I'm not sure how much that would have changed that screenshot.

There needs to be a mod that makes Deathclaw eggs useful other than for a damned omelette. There's burned-out houses that deon't have "interiors" with loading sequences. The houses north of New Vegas, and if you put eggs in the ovens inside the houses, it should turn the area into a permanent spawn point. That'd be awesome: Deathclaw breeding!

Especially if there's a bandit family working there, and you manage to plant the eggs unnoticed.

played fallout 1 last night. Did that glitch thingo where you can kill the overseer after he kicks you out. Didn't bare any malice against the guy, just did it out of curiosity.
it was actually quite horrifying seeing him leave his guts behind when he dragged half of his body to the vault. The early, isometric games did gore with far superior tact than their gamebryo brethren

Freeside Farmer: *farmin'* "Man... this sucks. Why'd we have to survive? I mean, why are we even here?"

Dr. Insano: *pops out of an old tin can* "SCIENCE!!!"

((And then the entire world exploded.))

It's not unheard of that, when I'm exceedingly bored, I'll take one of my souped-up characters, load up with tons of super weapons, run into a place with lots of people I haven't made dead yet, sneak up on them, and then blow them away shouting at the top of my lungs. Some unsuspecting douche will just be raking some dirt, I come sprinting over, scream "WHAZZAAAAAAAP" and utterly destroy them with an MIRV shot to the FACE (often killing myself to the process). It's relieving in a game that's so slow-paced and admittedly a little boring at times, to suddenly and without warning, massacre an entire population center on a whim by farting out flying nuclear devices into people's nostrils.

Which you can't do in Fallout 3, huge swaths of the npcs are immortal.

edit: I wonder if it's possible to bodaciously murder everyone in New Vegas. You might have to dial down the respawns of humans using a mod but I wonder what it would look like.

It would be hell, dear friend. A truly accurate depiction of Hell: to be utterly, completely, irrevocably alone in the ewasteland. With no one to threaten you, what would be the point of weapons? Or cheddar? Nobody to speak with, nobody to fight, and nothing of importance to do.

"...for we shall go out, not with a bang, but a quiet whimper. All my love, pity, and sorrow for they whose life is doomed to solitude as the last of us, like a single snowflake as the remnants of its brethren slowly consume it."

Deathclaws would take over vegas, create a new society, maybe hold humans like slaves in planet of the apes.

WRONG AGAIN, O human of stupid brains! There would be no deathclaws, no nightstalkers, no cazadores, no robots, and no humans left. No lifeforms of any kind aside from the essential bacteria and yourself, minus fertile eggs/sperm.

Just fill New Vegas with hostile mobs and call it a day.

Haven't had much chance to play F:NV, but I've made a tiny bit of progress.

I will be forever amused by the ability to limb someone with a 9mm pistol.

Being able to punch limbs off people is the best thing

I'm bored. Let's make up names for guns that weren't in the games!

H&K UMP-45 = Assault SMG
H&K MP7 = Subcompact Rifle
IMI Desert Eagle .50AE = Assault Pistol (or) Hand Cannon
Enfield L85A2 = Bullpup Rifle
FNH P90 = Toploader SMG

I'm just spitballin' from the third one down. Anybody wanna join in?
