They were $30 in my memory. To Google!

GB: $20 to $40
GBC: $30
GBA: $30 to $35

I actually don't remember too many GBA games that broke into $35 territory, except maybe the Pokemon ones for the wireless adapter.

I remember it was a "big deal" when DS came out because the games were now $35 across the board and people felt scandalized by it.

Then Brain Age came out for $20 and everyone ate that shit up.

After I posted I figured I was only remembering the GBA and DS prices, because those were the only games that I actually bought, as opposed to received as gifts.

Thats odd, because I remember alot of the GBA and GBC games being about 20 dollars and BELOW to buy :/

And there have been plenty of sales on Portal. Ive managed to buy the game on one of them. But what Im mostly saying, and why Im bringing up games that are several years old is because, simply put, they ARE several years old, and Im still playing them.

And OA, theyre not. They are totally not. 8===D Theyre in trouble financially. Other consoles have been giving Nintendo a run for its cheddar, while Nintendo hangs on with its nostalgia factor. Nintendos having to actually put out good games: Thank goodness they still know how, or they would share the same fate as SEGA. But theres alot more people on the company now, that are being paid per project. Which means their oodles of treasure as you may call it, isnt as big as youd think it is :P

Plus, large comapanies are beginning to suffer a little under some pretty good indie games. But going back to Mario, Nintendo is only doing well because they still understand how to put out good games. Their hardware is lackluster, they pander to a younger audience than what quite a bit of the fanbase is by now; its a pretty precarious situation.

Still though: It certainly doesnt help them when- Excuse me Im a broken record. *throws self out window*

Nintendo is nowhere near financial trouble. In the handheld market alone they could keep the company afloat and they rule that with an iron fist. The Vita isn't anywhere close to a contender.

Nintendo is rich because people keep buying Mario games which have all been terrible.
Especially the RPGs and the Spinnoffs.
The Paper Mario and Luigi's mansion series' have to be the WORST out of all of them.

i'm going to ignore everything else, even though it's very easy to tear into, and focus on this

at what point does sega seem like it's been having trouble

because last i checked, you know, their games still sold stupid well and a lot of them are well known, and now that they have relic and as a result warhammer and company of heroes, they're only going to do better.

you can't even say the already flat out untrue decline of sonic games is a factor (two bad games isn't really a big deal), because the worst of the bunch sold enough to be a platinum hit on the xbox.

Dude the Mario RPGs are bodaciously the best JRPGs out there because the battle system is more than just "push the button and wait for the enemy's numbers to go down"

get ready

here it comes

a punch to the internuts

There was player's choice for GBA that made them cheaper, along with the remakes. But the thing is, the games sell so consistently now, and even when they slashed prices with players choice, many people didn't go and pick up the games. That's why Nintendo made a big deal of bringing back player's choice for Wii, because they figured more hooplah over it would make people buy the games more.

I think player's choice will come back, maybe as an eShop thing to encourage people to download. But, as long as the games are selling good, Nintendo's probably not likely to slash prices. It kinda sucks for the people waiting for prices to drop, but they are in it for the cheddar, just like any other company. You just don't shoot the golden goose.

OA.

You haven't learned to not take Gyrowelf seriously on anything ever yet?

You must go meditate in the mountains.
