Hydra Splatlings in Turf War can be heroes. A Hydra covered by its teammates (so it doesn't get ambushed) deal with the dreaded chargers (unless Moray Towers), and can do some serious push to gain and keep turf.

True dat. I just prefer to use Custom Hydra in Turf War because Sprinkler.

Gonna have to go Red here. I never picked up Blue, but did get FireRed after I lost my initial copy of LeafGreen and I still have it to this day. That and I don't really count Blue as being Green. Nor a leaf.

This was a tough one, my favorite pokemon to this day (Arcanine) is exclusive to Red.

But Blastoise is my favorite of the Kanto starters and blue was the actual version I played as a kid so Blue it is.

I had Blue. In fact, I still have two copies of Blue here. I'd choose Blue. Let's see if they use the same theme for Europe. I can never keep track of the Splatfests.

Still, that's really how I feel, if there's one thing I know about Gen 1, it's that everyone adored Charizard, but who knows, I personally like Blastoise more for the kickass water cannons on his back.

I might actually attend this Splatfest just to root for one of my favorite franchies.

It's happening during Magfest so I get to use hotel wifi to contribute.
I had red as a kid so that's what I'm going with.

I just checked, apparently the Splatfest happens in all regions at the same time. However, it's still separate events for each region, just at the same time and with the same theme. Japan chooses between Red and Green.

Someone somewhere thought that it'd be cool if the Splatfest music was changed to Pkmn R/B battle music.
I highly doubt but that'd be super duper awesome and is just an exciting thought to me...
