If the golden puppy is in a good mood you've got a pretty good chance at winning.
Using the mask I don't think I ever gotten anything worse than getting back the cheddar I bet.

Isn't it always the same message?
The one who says "I'm doing this for my family. I can't lose!" or something like that while you have the Mask of Truth on. I always found it to be rather easy.

The one I picked said something about how he was feeling really good that day and that he thought was going to win.

Also my 9+ years in music has served me well because I got the Piece of Heart for doing the Mailman's challenge of counting to exactly 10 seconds and I didn't use the Bunny Hood. It took me a few tries, but I got it. I was consistently getting 10.09 and had to actually force myself to press the button earlier than I thought I should.

That minigame helped me learn a lot about timing inputs and gave me a stronger mental clock.

I never interpreted the request like that...
I just saw it as "I want to see what this person is like offstage in regular life".

That's also creepy, come to think of it.

Unsolicited photos of anyone is just creepy.

Also apparently Great Bay is just going to be the land of zero conveyance.

The swim mechanics weren't well explained at all, so it took me a minute or five or sixty to figure that out. And then I actually had to look up how to get into Pirate's Fortress because it wasn't explained very well that you can break things by dashing into them, again due to badly explained mechanics.

Before I looked that up though, I figured I had to go to Pinnacle Rock, but you need golden fish. OK, great, I think I say some golden-looking fish in a pond. Huh. This isn't working. Let's just look that up real qui-OH OK. APPARENTLY "GOLDEN FISH" MEANS A FUCKING SEAHORSE. BECAUSE THAT'S NOT COMPLETELY MISLEADING TO NOT JUST CALL THEM FUCKING SEAHORSES.

I thought one of the Great Bay open water zora mentioned how to break in.
Or maybe I am remembering the order of events wrong since I was constantly swimming about after I got that power and was also just randomly talking to whoever was close to that area.

I do vaguely recall making a connection to how slamming into objects under water had the same effect as rolling into things on land, though.

I need to go back fifteen years and ask young Airra how she got in there without internet.

I remember using the Chateau Romani milk to freeze a path across the ocean to try and bypass the normal temple entrance while going back to the temple for fairies, once. I learned a lot about game backdrop scenery on that day.

I finished it, yay.
The minigame against the fish kid was bullshit. And you can completely fuck up the one against the bug kid by wasting your bombchus. And I missed getting 100% because I forgot to look for the heart piece in the fish kid one.

The one with the mask you got from the two flying centipede bosses. You have to do a mid-boss rush and then have to bomb a wall and a ceiling with the 10 bombchus you get. I managed to use them all up before succeeding. You can't finish the thing if that happens. Had to reset the game and do it again, all for that sweet Fierce Deity mask.

Made it to the Great Bay Temple. I am not prepared for the bullshit that I'm sure is about to ensue.
