Patch 1.1 is going to give us wires for machine type things (Slime generators, lever activated traps, etc.). That's like rope I guess.

I remeber I was digging a straight fall tunnel to hell, I found the mother load of obsidian.
It was a gigantic pool of water over an ever bigger pool of Lava.
I had obsidian for days.

Fucking day 3000 of mining obsidian.
