Cave story 3D delayed again... Honestly, I like where this is going. I had nowhere near enough cheddar to buy it on release anyway, and a chance to supe up the game and stop complaints is definitely a positive.

No, Cave Story 3D is going to be on a cartridge. You might be thinking of the DSi release, which did carry over to the 3DS shop.

The Cave Story already out is basically the PC release from 2005, which was sort of a big deal for indie games (http://www.cavestory.org/). You should check out the PC version, it's free and often considered the best Indie game out there and, by some, the best game in general.

The 3D version, the one Retardus linked to, is a complete overhaul with updated graphics.
