I don't deny that it is a hacked Pokemon, but what if the Johto Chikorita is in the game's programming in preparation for an event? Kind of like how you could hack the game to get a Shaymin before any Shaymin events had even happened.
The fact that it's a Chikorita, the first Pokemon of the Johto Pokedex, makes me wary. So what I'm thinking is, if it's in preparation for a 4th G/S remake, then hacking other Johto Pokemon can't be that hard, can it?

The fact that its a Chikorita means squat-all, other than that the hacker decided to use a Chikorita to demonstrate that there's a "Johto" region class in the game. It can be used on any Pokemon at all, same as the other three unused Continent region classes.

Then why is it the only one? Not even on the Bulbapedia page is there mention of any other hacked Johto Pokemon. You'd think that at least one other person would find a Johto Pokemon.

I'm being a skeptic. Sue me.

Because they didn't bother to include the same thing twice, once gets the point across quite fine. But yes, its been done plenty of times before; heck, I even did it before I found out that it makes the Pokemon registered as hacked if you ever try use it in anything online.

This is not people taking random guesses at ActionReplay codes until something works, this is all well-known game mechanics. Reverse engineering videogames is not as hard as you think.

Plasma, your avatar has reminded me that I still have the earliest evolution of that pokemon (I can't remember its name right now) and now I have a sudden urge to transfer it to Diamond and train it.

So, I was really bored so I decided to order Pokemon Fire Red from an Amazon merchant because they had it cheap. I want to name my Charmander "Duckmoose". Should I be worried about that? I also got it for 20 dollars. Did I waste my cheddar by buying another pokemon game when I already have Sapphire and Diamond?

(Sorry about the double post, but if I just edited my post than no one would see this post)

Umm... Yes! You made a very bad decision buying the game! You should be ashamed! In fact, what you did was so wrong that you should give the game to me so I can dispose of it!

Anyway, yes you should definitely have, unless you already had a first-gen game. Then it would have been up to you.

You should train it! Considering its final form, Metagross, is one of the most powerful non-legendary Pokemon there is. Plus, actually catching a Beldum is nigh-on impossible! I mean they only appear on a 1/28 chance per day, they've got a regular catch difficulty as high as the highest legendaries, they're always level 53 or 54, you have to fight them in a sandstorm, and their sole move is one that damages them! Actually having a Beldum evolution in anything other than a regular Pokeball, without cheating at any point, is largely seen as a high achievement!

Which, of course, I have. Wootinory for my skill!

As announced by the official Japanese Cockfighting Society Web site and TV Tokyo's TV program information on Friday, Cockfighting Society Sunday is set to make a "world-exclusive first announcement" in its Cockfighting Society Game Arena segment on May 10.

The most recent episode previewed the annnouncement, showing two balls, one gold and one silver, which will be opened to unveil the announcement's subject. Based on this as well as the fact that the game is said to have been the center of much speculation, many fans believe that the announcement will pertain to two titles: the Cockfighting Society Gold and Silver remakes. It is also theorized that Junichi Masuda will appear on the show to make the announcement, since he did so both last month and the month prior in regard to other game-related scoops.

The next issue of CoroCoro, which will be released May 15, is likely to contain the announcement as well.

As I've said before, Gold/Silver remakes for DS, YES/NO

=D

One can only hope that they aren't turned into the slow-slow-slow-slow-paced game that Diamond and Pearl were.

One pokemon in Victory Road in Diamond had an animation that took four seconds long. It was a wild pokemon. It never stopped coming. I made sure right after Victory Road to buy 99 Max Repels right after that, because I CAN'T STAND TRAINING MY POKEMON WHEN IT TAKES 20 SECONDS TO MAKE THE FIRST MOVE IN EACH daisies BATTLE THAT SHOULD ONLY BE 5 SECONDS LONG ALTOGETHER I AM RANTING ABOUT THIS AND IT HAS RUINED MY DIAMOND EXPERIENCE RAHGAWEROWHGOAWHROAHGOAWTOPAEFJRIOKWER

Have you tried turning battle animations off in the options menu? It's not something I do, but I gather it makes the battles pass a little faster.

I'd like to be able to play battles without the use of the stylus (just using the A button like on the GBA games), but yeah, it takes forever to select, then confirm that you want to fight, select, then confirm what move you want to use, then watch the battle animation.

I don't see why using the A button has been made so much slower than using the stylus. I could input commands so gorram fast on my GBA games (the pop-up menus were nuttin but a blur man! A BLUR!)
