For those collecting all secret reports, the full story is shown through them and flushed out more. There is more going on though the only way to find it out is by reading all the reports.
Also I have beaten the game a few times, 2 times getting all the secret reports. The one thing I was never able to do was beat the secret boss Mr. H on the hardest difficulty. Has anyone at all managed to beat him on that difficulty?
I beat him on Ultimate. I used my own strategy. I made sure I was set to level 100. I equipped all the Eden pins to Neku. They need to be mastered. This makes him invincible as long he he has the light puck. I also gave him the Visionary Blend, which heals completely if health gets dangerously low, and it recharges after 90 seconds. Joshua was given the best swag, and he completely powered up with attack and defense items. I made it so he was able to equip the Angel's Feather, too. If done right, he should have close to 200 attack and defense. I focused the entire battle on the upper screen while making Neku evade on the bottom in case I lost the puck. As long as Joshua can finish combos, the puck should stay in play. Joshua's attacks are especially quick and powerful when he is levitating in the air, but on ground, they are slow. However, I chose to use him because he can quickly dodge attacks by levitating or going back down to the ground depending on where the attacks are coming from. The battle takes a while with only one person, but if you are quick with Joshua and can dodge enough in 90 second increment before the Visionary Blend recharges, you should last. If desperate, you can also use the Fusion pin, which should heal a little and put a small dent in the boss's health. If enough luck, you may get the Black Jupiter pin. To increase your chances, max out your drop rate by eating Shadow Ramen and Lucky Mushrooms.

But 777 was erased.
Was he? I only remember that
he was still in his senses when you met him during the Emergency Call, and he fought you thinking it was his lucky day to run into Neku & Beat. Afterwards you don't finish him, leading him into thinking it really IS his lucky day. If you fought him again later on, then I don't remember it.
Uzuki & Kariya survived, too, as Beat convinced Neku to spare them after you defeat them while they're possessed by the pins. He says it is his lucky day, and hey gives you a key pin. Neku and Beat ask if anyone was hiding out on the concert stage, because they saw the Iron Maiden go in there. 777 checks for them, and it is while he is in there that someone or something attacks him, and he gets erased. All that is left is his collar.
