I am going to be one of those people who is all like, "Oh, not this shit again I'm not falling for you again Nintendo you hear?" Then one month after it's released my second DS lite will fall apart or I'll buy the 3DS anyway, and be like "oh shit i fell for it again."

I am such a tool.

I might get it if it is an actual upgrade, like the Gameboy Color to Gameboy Advance, or the Gameboy Advance to Nintendo DS.

If it is just another stupid "NEW VERSION OF SOMETHING YOU ALREADY HAVE LOLOLOLOL" thing like the DS lite, DSI, and DS XL, then FUCK YOU NINTENDO.

Just like they did with the remakes of all the Pokemon games, the Wii's overload of casual games with a few decent games in between, and the desperate attempt to keep the Legend of Zelda and Mario franchises afloat.


Actually both the SP and the DS Lite were godsends. I'd take the reduced size and brighter screen on the DSi/DS Lite over the original DS's screen any day. Same thing goes for the reduced size and backlight on the GBA SP. The DSi and the DSi XL are the only handheld consoles of Nintendo's that I consider truly unnecessary. With the DSi, they should have waited until their next handheld to implement those features, and as for the DSi XL, it's just plain unnecessary.

I thought the SP was pretty excellent, actually. It was way better to play games with a backlight.

I was unlucky enough to stumble across one and try it.
