If something is too difficult and causes you to pretty much go insane, just remember....

Comic sans was built to not take seriously.

Enough with the meta crap

Here's the deal:
As was said before you should have assumed that some of them wouldn't just lay down and die in the Genocide run, and should have prepared for the worst

If a hard boss battle makes you completely lose interest in a game and want to uninstall it then it clearly wasn't what you wanted in the first place

Not everything in videogames or life is going to be easy

If you give up at the first sign of trouble you'll get nowhere

I wasn't expecting them to die straight away. I wanted a fair fight. Not to be blasted with a complete trial-and-error fight that changes the damage mechanic.
Almost everything the game taught you to expect is blown out the window.
Even when Flowey turns the game full Bullet Hell you still take and deal damage the same way as you always did.
The only difference is that Flowey removes the turn based side and the layout of the screen.

You'd need ridiculous reflexes to beat him the first time without getting killed once. None of the other bosses to my experience were like that. They were fair. You had time to see what was coming.
You had time to figure out what to do. But not with this one.
Strictly on a gaming standpoint, ignoring the story, this boss seems completely unbalanced compared to the rest.

I didn't give up at the first sign of trouble. I died 25 times to that guy. I fought him and tried to get through his attacks 25 times and never got past the halfway mark.
If I can't even get through the halfway mark before dying, how am I supposed to get through the full battle?
Sure, I may try to get him again at some point, but dying 25 times in a row really demotivated me from fighting him more.

PS. I haven't uninstalled the game, that was just my frustrated self speaking. The fight just really annoyed me and I wanted to get it out.
I'm not a violent guy, so my rage comes out as words. I pick and complain about what has annoyed me to get it out.

Edit:
I tried him another 15 times. I got up to the "Survive THIS!" part on my last try but died on it.
Right now the only attacks I really hate is when he slams you into a wall and brings a bone wall up and the long bones going up and down simultaneously. I know how to dodge them, but it's the timing and reflexes I need to get right.

I'll try more tomorrow but I'm not going through as much as I did yesterday. You all see what that made me like.

And a final thing on this edit. he really isn't as bad as I made him out to be at first. As I got hold of his attacks I see that I may have exaggerated a bit on the "Trial and error" thing.

he is trial and error but, sort of once again, that's the point

a genocide runthrough is about the mechanics of the game itself, including loading save files. at this point, sans knows you can do it. he knows you can just turn back the clock on the fight. so he's trying to frustrate you into not wanting to try. the fight is designed to almost force you to abuse it, because generally if you don't, sans just straight up kills you. and abusing the universe just to kill yet another person is just another sign of the path you've gone down.

Said fight keeps track of how many times you fail at it, in an .ini file in your hidden system folders.

It took me 75 times to beat.

Quick, someone give me a list of the most expensive items (excluding Muffet's bake sale prices and the Mystery Key) and their uses, if they're even useful at all

I really don't want to grind Dog Residue for hours but I don't know what kind of expensive things I need

EDIT: Apparently Dog Residue farming took less time than I thought
In only around 20 minutes I managed to sell 2400 points worth in total, enough to pay for Temmie's college fund AND get the Temmie Armor without the unnecessary dying to lower the price. But I still want to buy some Legendary Heros and I'm not sure what else I'll need to pay for.

There's already Undertale-Touhou crossover fan art.

And I find the fact Sans is dressed as Yukari far too accurate. It also makes me feel a bit better about how tough he is. For those who aren't in with Touhou, Yukari is essentially the most overpowered character in the games, her powers making her able to basically alter reality.

Even with Papyrus as Cirno, both of which aren't that smart if we go by Papyrus' puzzle solving skills.

Oh my god, I'm dying. xD

That first picture isn't technically fanart, that was drawn by Temmie, who did some of the art for the game and was given a character named after them. Although it doesn't have much to do with the game itself so it could be called "fanart"

I knew Temmie did art for the game but I didn't know that she drew that picture.
I suppose you miss a few things when you're looking at pictures on Know your meme. :p

Although about my run, I'm just gonna reset and do neutral runs to see what stories happen. I am not having any bit of fun fighting Sans and I really just want to have fun so yeah. I don't lose my soul : D
This time my run is gonna be similar but not the same.
Kill everyone! Except Mettaton. Because he's too fabulous to die. Plus he's my favourite character.
And with random monsters I'll either spare or kill them based on what's easier.

Edit: Ruins end spoiler.
Just fought Toriel again, but just to check something I ended up finding another way to spare her other than spamming the Spare option. Do FIGHT, but don't click confirm, let the attack bar go all the way and you'll automatically miss. I don't know what it is but that feeling of the child lashing out, but really not wanting to hurt her and deliberately missing somehow makes the battle feel more heavy.
Though like I said before, I'm killing everyone but Mettaton so I started properly fighting her once she said "Fight or leave now!" Imagining the kid coming to the fact that she will not move. And her goodbye sequence on a neutral kill gave me the feels too.

Oh yeah, and something interesting happens with Doggo if you keep the Stick weapon.
Fetch.

And I just realised the machine Papyrus uses for the floor tile puzzle looks the same as Mettaton.

AFAIK buying something from Muffet simply allows you to skip her fight, while the Mystery Key opens up the house next to Napstablook's and unlock more lore (not-vital, but still pretty intersting)

I said "excluding" those. I was wondering about OTHER more expensive items.

Yes, that's where I've been grinding cheddar from Dog Residue. As I mentioned.
