If this game's end game is anything like Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, it's Red Mage x Summoner

Eh, not really. Red Mage is only good for the Ability skills it gets, but otherwise for pure power the game adores Monks.

Natural Ability + Knuckle Lore = Bravely Second into 400K damage special.

I'm glad drain-blade works with dark knight abilities

now I've gotta figure out the best tank combinations in pirate/knight/templar/swordmaster/ninja

also I've added anyone who's posted their FC so far

I hate "middle of the road" characters like Tiz because I never know what to do with them. I have him on freelancer now so he can be all that he can be with his giant gourd hanging from his hip

How feasible is it to master several jobs in a normal playthrough?

Without doing a ton of grinding, I had one or two jobs mastered on each character by the end of ch4

In early ch5, I've found I can optimize grinding to the point of leveling a job 1-14 in fifteen minutes or so

The more you use a friend's uploaded attacks, the higher your affinity with them rises

I'd assume it strengthens the move or something

I'm not normally a fan of remixes like this, but HOLY CRAP.

Video linked because the thumbnail is kinda NSFW.

Benefit from my love of grinding, ya mooches. Everything should be there. For some reason, my friend was only able to access some of them, despite the fact that I've mastered all the jobs. Hopefully you'll have better luck.

EDIT:

My final setup was

Agnes, Time mage/Red mage, group cast all + ailment amp + bp recovery. She would either use poison poison poisona on my guys to to max out their bp with bp recovery, or buff all with protect, shell, re-raise, regen, or haste. Group cast all means I don't need to waste 4 individual turns for each buff.
Tiz, Freelancer/Salve-Maker, attack item amp, item critical, bp recovery, shield lore, def up 10%. Would use dark bane followed by mimiced shaowflares, or giant's drafts if I felt the need for double hp. Also, a bravely seconded giant's drafted dragon breath with amp and crit in bravely second is 54000, which isn't much compared to others but it's fucking awesome. I originally had dual shields on him, but then I gave him a foxtail to wiled for his speed and dropped dual shields.
Ringabel, Vampire/Time Mage, phantom weapon, two-handed, bp recovery. Vamps have rank B in axes, which was good enough to get 6100 with fireball and 9999 with spells after phantom weapon from a Giant's Axe. He was time mage because in the team-fire battle in chapter 8 I had to have him slow Qada and haste Mephilia, which group-cast Agnes could not do. At least time mage let me mix it up with 9999 meteor instead of 9999 blizaja/firaja/thundaja every turn. He also had that headgear that reduced MP cost by 25%, so he would take 2 rounds of continuous casting before he needed to MP drain. I also had him stat steal, to debuff the bosses and buff himself. Even better, since he used both m.atk and p.atk for spells, it was beneficial to steal both in more ways than just debuffing. I could have just gone pirate for debuffs but giant's drafted White Wind is essentially a megalixer without the MP. I could have gone for another class than time mage for later battles though, but it never became necessary.
Edea, Batman/Templar, bp recovery, two-hand, gloom, drain up, axe lore. I was considering Pirate/Batman, but the significant drop in armor rank bothered me. Once at 3 BP, I could rage, life or death, then rage again. Life or death activates BP recovery. I would equip a blood sword at my first brave, use it, then de-equip it on my second action so I would always have sword-magic drain. Dark bane from tiz ensured that I never hit below 8000. Though, with prate/dark knight, I could put bp limit up in place of axe lore, and do rage life or death rage rage, and also would never have to wait for my first life or death or adversity to reach 9999.

Of them all I say Tiz was most broken, because giant's draft.

This is badass.

Tried out my roommate's copy of Bravely Default today. The combat is excellent. I really like how much potential for strategy there is with the Brave and Default options. I also really enjoy the boss battles, or at least the one I did. I played a bit past getting Ringabel before you head to the ruins, but that's it. Anyway, that first boss battle was great, because it really made me consider how to best use Brave and Default. Maybe I'm just too new at the game, but I thought it was a legit tough fight, mostly because Holly wouldn't FREAKING DIE and now I hate White Mages forever.

As for the story, it's good so far, but not really anything I haven't kinda seen before. Tiz is a little bland, standard male protagonist, yadda yadda, but I don't hate him, and he does have more interesting motivations than a lot of protagonists I've seen. As for Agnes, I started getting a little tired of her snooty booty and "Unacceptable", "This task is mine alone", "brb Imma go purposefully try to get kidnapped by the people WHO DIRECTLY STATED THEY WERE GOING TO KILL ME." Please tell me she gets better. Please. She's so adorable and I don't want to hate her.
