I think that's actually a pretty clever design change. Though personally, I think a better fix would be, if you're really having that much trouble with tight passageways, just walk...

I'm still not sure how I feel about some of these changes. The completely fixed save system sounds wonderful, and the graphical improvements are great, but I'm not liking some of the aesthetic changes (though I'll admit a lot of my complaints are kinda petty). The Astral Observatory doesn't look nearly as psychedelic and pretty, and it feels like the fact that the Triforces were removed from the statues in front of the road to Ikana was just a big "fuck you" to the people who liked all those theories about Stone Tower. That said, I really like how detailed the textures are now, and the posters in Clock Town are really nice; I like how you can actually see Lulu on the Indigo-gos posters now. Also, the sky during the night of the final day looks so wonderfully ominous.

Still anxious about seeing what Stone Tower looks like; that's one of my favorite locations in the series, and I really hope they didn't screw it up.

I feel like the moon also looks rather off in this game. Maybe it's just the bigger nose, but it doesn't seem as terrifying as the original.

Funny, I feel the opposite way. I always thought the moon looked kinda goofy, but I feel that this one looks far more grotesque and disturbing, possibly in part due to that huge, bulbous proboscis. I think it might also have something to do with those teeth.

I prefer the classic one myself. Did you guys see that each transformation mask has new idle animations?

Just got MM3D. I just got to the Southern Swamp, and so far, this remake is absolutely wonderful. The attention to detail in this game is simply breathtaking. I recall finding a few things here and there that bugged me, but they were all minor nitpicks, like how they took the Triforce off of the statues outside Clock Town's east entrance. The atmosphere is just as thick as in the original; hell, it's even better in some parts than before. They even added some new sound effects to some of the cutscenes, which may seem like an odd move at first, but I've found they really help.

I love all the drawings of plans for a moon landing you can find in the Bomb Shop. I find the picture of a yellow, faceless moon especially interesting.

What I'm not so fond of is what they did to the Odolwa boss fight. While I'm glad they tried making the Deku Mask actually useful in that fight, it's still just as easy as the original fight, but way longer and dreadfully boring. I'm also not terribly pop flyin' with how the colors in the Southern Swamp (and especially the Woods of Mystery) seem a lot more muted than in the original, as if they were trying too hard to make it look realistic. On the other hand, the new Woodfall Temple looks absolutely fantastic.

im loving it as well so far.

they changed a couple minor things like where the kids spawn at to find them for the secret code but im alright with that. even if it did make me question my sanity

If you played the game enough to know the exact location by heart I'd be questioning your sanity as well

That screwed with me so much. I love the posters and stuff on the walls too. Did anyone notice the painting in the mayor's office?

Oh come on, don't pretend YOU have't played any games enough to know some things about it by heart.

I've been playing King's Quest VII ever since I could barely read. I could probably recite the entire thing by heart. Stop acting pretentious.
