Good lord Lunala is gonna get bodied so hard by dark and ghost types

Also weird that Sun Lion isn't a fire type, but okay, cool, Steel Psychic isn't a very common typing.

Lunala has to be blazing fast in order to match up with the rest of his fellow box art legendaries, otherwise it'll be completely destroyed by anything with Pursuit or Sucker Punch.

um, it was going to be destroyed by Sucker Punch anyways since that's a priority move, unless it has huge defenses, which I'd imagine it has due to it's ability being a defensive ability (reduces all damage it takes when it's at full health)

I can imagine (if it has good Sp. Atk/Reg. Atk) Shell Bell being totally broken on it though.

Hell, both Legendaries are looking like more defensive pokes due to their abilities/typing.

Well, apparently Solgaleo is meant to be "The lion that eats the sun", this phrase represents the alchemical symbol of the purification of metals.

I guess the whole psychic-sun connection has been done before (Espeon) but it still strikes me as weird. I feel like you should be able so tell what type a Pokemon is just by looking at it, you know? Oh well.

I'm hoping we'll get some more info on the starter evolutions when E3 rolls around.

Then again, in Japan, Dark-type is Evil-type.

Yeah, it kinda makes sense that the moon Cockfighting Society isn't a Dark-type. All the moves related to darkness or whatever are ghost-type moves, like Shadow Ball, Shadow Sneak, and Shadow Force. Still, it is weak to Ghost, and I'm kind of surprised that it's not a Fairy-type, considering how Moonblast and Moonlight are fairy-type moves.

Wouldn't Ghost-types spook each other out?

Also, in Alpha Sapphire, knowing that I started with Mudkip and got a Torchic by trading, which Johto, Sinnoh and Unova starter should I pick?

Probably the least favorites like Chikorita and all that, saves you the time of hunting one down since everyone's gonna end up picking Cyndaquil.

Two 4x weaknesses to extremely common attacking types is not very defensive.
Though the renamed Multiscale ability is definitely cool.

I hope to all goodness Lunala is defensive with that typing. Psychic/Ghost sounds cool on paper, but... no. Unfortunately it looks more like a slow Special tank the more I stare at its design, which wouldn't be good with all the Sucker Punch-mons out there. I hope I'm wrong.
I can't say anything about the new Pokédex that hasn't already been said better than I could ever say it, but I do like it.

Don't forget everything running Knock Off these days and Pursuit Trappers being semi common. It better have some decent priority move or else it basically gets HARD countered by Cockfighting Society like Weavile and Bisharp.
