Also confirmed: Zelda U, coming Dec. 31st 2016

It's possibly the price point but also likely a direct conversion of the physical download card with bonuses from Japan. Ordering it from the eShop directly in Japan is supposedly a bit cheaper, and we might see similar price points if the physical bonuses come here aswell.

Amazon also has listed WWHD as a $60 game in an initial posting because it was the best guess at the price. This does not confirm the actual price yet.

How "steep" a game price is, is highly subjective. Aquabat, you are free to think those games have aged too badly to be worth that much. But for some people, they hold a very big meaning, and/or a lot of replayability, making them worth the price.

That said, I personally think that the many changes brought throughout the many Pokemon main entries, make this game obsolete, for what I do with Pokemon.

I don't have such attachment to red and blue, probably because I started with silver and gold. I wouldn't buy blue or red again, but I'm not going to say nobody should.

Things R/B/Y don't have:
Breeding
Shiny Pokemon
Pokerus
Balancing of the Psychic type (Steel and Dark were introduced to fix this, and Ghost-type was made super effective against Psychic for Gen II)
Special Attack
SPecial Defense (both combined in one Special stat)
Easy bag organization
Exp. on the battle screen
Held items
Day/Night system
Abilities

They are like an unbalanced and watered down version of a modern Pokemon game. I would even say they would be a great way to introduce a new generation to the series by starting them on the game with less mechanics.

That said, I would spend $15 easily on Yellow

Yeah let me know when 2nd Gen games are re-released.

Then again I guess I could also just start up another file on HeartGold...

Really, I don't see any advantage over just playing the remakes. They are vastly better. The early games had horrible balancing issues and movesets.

Also this little guy gets to be pretty OP. the balancing in Gen II made Psychic type a little more fair.

GET OUT OF HERE COCONUT SPHINX WE'RE HAVING A CONVERSATION WITHOUT YOU TRYING TO BARRAGE US, GOD daisies.

Also probably my favorite Gen 1 sprite. Both creepy and cool. Parasect is a good Pokemon. Too bad I don't usually use him because I'm bros with Bulbasaur and Tangela.

I can agree with that. The gen 1 art had such personality.

I love all the Gen 1 sprites for how goofy they are, but Gen 2 still has my favorite spritework in the series.
