I hope they don't fix some of the exploits..!

I mean sure, I'd fix the exp underflow glitch, but being able to glitch your way to getting Mew isn't that bad considering it can't screw up the gts. After all, it would actually keep it obtainable and I doubt there'd ever be events for it.

Any thoughts on whether they should fix Missingno., 'M, HPoKe, TrainerPoKe etc.?

They should fix them just as much as it takes to make it so it doesn't damage the files or the console, but keep them in and the programming quirks that enable them to exist.

I seriously doubt they would "fix" such a huge part of the series' pop culture. You really can't defend these being ten dollars each, even the most prominent GBC titles go for half that much

You'd be lucky to get a used copy of Pokemon Red or Pokemon Blue on Ebay for less than 25 dollars, and even then, have fun trying to keep your save without the battery being dead. The virtual console release is 10 dollars and won't have this issue, it's a VC release, and if they said they're modifying it to support some 3DS features, then there's a 50/50 chance they might go out of their way to fix some glitches, some VC games have small changes to fix problems the original release had. For example.

MIGHT is very different from WILL.
More than half of all VC changes are just removing frames to avoid risk of seizures or removing copyrighted content.
More often than not all of the glitches are still there.
And no, that is not a good thing, yet somehow people are acting like it is, and would PRAISE Nintendo for keeping those game-breaking glitches intact.

And stop acting like it's an okay price because of how much the physical carts are worth. Compare the price of a Super Mario Land cartridge on eBay compared to its VC price. That's not being sold for ten dollars, is it?

Well what do you want Nintendo to do then? If they fix the game, remove the glitches and everything, then you have a good majority of fans angry because that was what they enjoyed from the first game: the ability to make the game do what you want it to. Even if they were to try and fix the game, the first Pokemon games are pretty much held together with duct tape. If they try to fix one thing they may end up causing a new problem. The ultimate solution to this would be to try and rewrite the game from the ground up, but if they do that, is it still the game that people played fifteen years ago? No, it's just fire red and leaf green with shitty graphics. So please, tell me what Nintendo should do, because from these choices I would say just ship the original game, glitches and all, and charge ten dollars because honestly that's what I think that game is worth still.

People play games however they want to, there's no need to argue about this at all. "Why even play it at all" that's foolish, "intended way" and "unintended way" aren't synonyms for "right way" and "wrong way". Games are fun beyond the scope of what the creators wanted because of the interaction element, so it's great that the can be played in ways they weren't meant to be played. Nobody has to play games "right". In the end it's up to the game makers to decide if they want to keep these things in re-releases but there's no arguing that it IS removing an aspect of the game that matters to people.



Also don't use reaction images instead of words, it makes you look like a child and all of you are old enough to know better here
