I wonder how would legendaries work. Some might just be extremely rare species while some might be unique creatures.

Oh god, I've just thought of what a real life Pokemon black market might be with a bunch of dead Pokemon parts (like horns, scythes, and rare materials only found in Pokemon). Paranormal hunters might be the equivalent of legendary hunters chasing legends that may or may not be real, to the point of appearing rather insane.

I'm also thinking of how many Pokemon would be man-eating Pokemon or nonetheless still lethally dangerous if you piss 'em off.

I would say most Dragon-types, Arbok, Victreebell, etc.

Mostly all of them.

It's a world where life-threatening monsters are bodaciously everywhere and the only way to survive/venture out of the few safe havens is to have a monster with you. Luckily the monsters are somewhat sentient so usually they won't hurt you, but only if you actually own and befriend them.

That reminds me of a random thing that bugs me in Pokemon games: situations where you battle the Bad Guy to stop them from doing Bad Stuff, but then after you beat them they do the Bad Stuff anyway. Like, what? I basically have you at gunpoint, except the gun is a giant lizard that will eat your face off at my command.

Gunpoint = a 6'3" flaming chicken master of martial arts that just ripped your pets apart and is now staring you down.

I went to an official VGC event today! Super fun, and I'm improving (4-4 to my last year's first-round dropout and 3-4 win:loss ratios). And I won the match I had on the big screen, which is just the greatest feeling.

I started a Y Nuzlocke recently partially because I wanted to be the girl Trainer.

So far my team is Ninja Brian the Froakie, Birdemic the Pidgey, Twitter the Fletchling, Sarabi the Litleo, Pixel the Flabebe, and Rammstein the Skidddo.

I also have Bulbasaur in the box and I had a Panpour that died to Viola's Vivillon because it is useless and I figured something was going to die to that thing.

Oh, by the way, there's a Pokemon Boutique with various clothing and merchandise opening in Los Angeles soon and a new Mystery Dungeon game was announced.

The Japanese website suggests a fixed retail price.

Yay.
I want something better than Gates to Infinity. That game wasn't bad, per say, just disappointing.
Fingers crossed for the personality quiz to come back. I just loved that thing, gave me a better feeling of "this is me" that I enjoyed. Made me wanna finish the game more as well.

I honestly liked Gates to Infinity, if just for the ending. The Mystery Dungeon games have the best endings.
I might play through it again, I've largely forgotten the story so playing through will be living the story again.
Gonna choose a Pikachu partner, for some reason after evolving my teammate at the end, he looked so different he just didn't seem the same. Pikachu would be the best partner in that regard, even if they evolve, Raichu looks pretty close to Pikachu compared to Tepig/Emboar.

The ending of Gates was mediocre, in my opinion.

^ This.
It was also very dumbed down overall. Floors didn't feel as big, no food meter, short dungeons, no personality test at the start, not very many starting pokemon to pick from, one quest per dungeon, and etc. Also pick Axew at the start and you win. The visuals were nice, but in the explorations they needed to zoom the camera out a bit. I had a multitude of problems with it so I hope they fix some of them for Super, but I doubt it.

Edit:
Removed "no ambush rooms." I am absurdly lucky I guess .-.

Most of that is true but

Monster Houses still exist. You were just lucky.
