So do I. Goomy was [allegedly] made by James Turner.

Goodra, however, was a Dragonite clone [allegedly] created by Sugimori for no real reason.

Aquabat is claiming that Goodra is a clone of Dragonite because they're both chubby dragons but having a similar body type does not a copy make.

Goodra's evolutionary line is based off sea slugs, or nudibranches, and Dragonite is more of a cut-and-dry homage to cartoony western-style dragons.

Also Goodra is like, eleven times more cute.

How does Goodra look anything like a slug or a snail like Sliggoo

Since it's established that evolutions don't have to look anatomically similar, how exactly does that make Goodra inherently bad?

Because it completely abandons the design style of its two previous forms?

That's not true though

Goomy is a slimy blob with head udders.
Sliggo turns less slimy and two of them nipples grow long. It appears to be building what looks like a snail's house on its back...
... which, as it turns out, is actually a tail, as we can see at Goodra. The head udders are still there, too, though highly deformed, sure.
Yes it looks very different, but the design cues are still there.
