So on the topic of spinoffs...
Has anyone ever played Cockfighting Society Ranger: Guardian Signs? I've been replaying it as of late and I seem to have forgotten just how amazing it is. (IMO, of course) Does anyone else think a 3DS Cockfighting Society ranger game should be made? I think 3D graphics would fit the series well.

I own the first two games and my opinion of the series is that drawing circles doesn't count as gameplay.

I've only played the first two as well, and a 3d make might be neat.

Indeed. The Ranger games are a lot of fun despite the simplicity at first glance.

I gave in and downloaded shuffle. I am now calling it Trozei lite. I probably would have paid for it was well because it is quiet fun. The idea of limited turns and catch chances is cool, but I can't get behind the whole free to play practice.

The Pokemon Ranger games are an oddity that somehow works despite being based off of a trainer class. I'd love to see a 3D iteration with gen 6 pokemon and actual regions that aren't just made for the specific game. (Like hoenn or sinnoh.)

Nooooo, the unique regions give the games character. Without them it's just replaying the main series games with a different gimmick.

I like Guardian Signs because of the way it changes how captured Cockfighting Society can be used for support in battle. (It's... it's still technically a battle, right?) Namely every one is different and, best of all, they don't immediately disappear. I swear when I first picked up that game my mind was blown by that alone. So in that sense it's not ALL drawing circles.
But the level-up system is a bit... what's the word...? Eh... "bluh." Never really clicked with me. But the areas are just so great!
Playing it more, I REALLY do want another installment. In fact... maybe on the Wii U? It could be like a spiritual successor to the shadow Cockfighting Society home console games. Wait... THAT'S IT. SHADOW Cockfighting Society RANGERS. IT NEEDS TO HAPPEN!!

Spinoffs do not need to mix.

Especially not with Colosseum/XD. I just want them either remade, or another sequel. No Ranger gimmicks plz

To be honest that was kind of a joke... but you guys do make sense.
Then technically Pkmn Ranger probably already has its own variants of shadow-things, or could conjure them up in a flash.

EDIT: Just realized those Stupid Claydol don't go away after the final boss of Guardain Signs. My playthrough will now take an additional 3 hours to just get past those things and find stuff.
THANKS FORGETFUL STEELHEADS.

I'm playing Gen V for the first time, but they really need to rename Black and White into Pokemon: I Hate My Friends version.

Oh no I'm sorry. I totes love flighty airhead girl and know-it-all snob boy.

Although thanks to Monster Hunter I am catching a Blitzle and naming it Kirin and yes.

To the games credit, it does note their character flaws later on, and in b/w 2 they are arguably better characters. I just don't like how these two often pester you with small stuff.

My opinion of Ranger games? Youll probably go at my throat for saying I dislike them intensely. I remember playing the frist game and it wa snothing but a frustrating, confused slog, with me asking about why a beybade top was used to catch a Pokemon :/

I mean I understand the stuff bout protecting the environment and things, but yknow, somehow I never expected drawing circles around stuff to be part of that. Plus by the end I was so ... angry and frustrated from tyring to do this one specific part that in the end I just gave it to a friend to beat. I was mostly doing it for the Manaphy anyways.

Such a shame too. Has it really gotten better with newer games?

I bought the Ranger games for the Manaphy.

If they make another Ranger game, it had better shit Manaphy or I won't buy it. :colbert:
