Fun fact: some Pokemon like Eevee and Pikachu can hi-five you in Amie, I think you have to hold the cursor down near their hands or something to do it. I may have spent far too long hi-fiving my Eevee before getting Sylveon.

Also, I like how Contests in ORAS up your pokemons' affection. I was caught off guard when my pokes started hopping up and down in battle and stuff.

Only thing I noticed about Pikachu is that he doesnt like it when you pet his ears, and shocks you if you touch his cheeks.

That said, yeah, the Love rating affects Batttles, as Pokemon you've plakyed wiht and petted alot will avoid attacks and shrug off effects off in battle. THATS adding another level to the games, since it makes them feel like real like real companions.

Usually starters, really popular Pokemon, or ones with Mega Evolutions usually have a high five animation. I remember accidentally tapping the screen to pet them too quickly and it was it registered as a poke making my Pokemon very unhappy. I'm sorry.

I also wouldn't mind if they fleshed out the Pokemon's relationship with the trainers more next gen. Bringing back the Pokemon following you would be cool, but it might be more difficult to do in 3D.

Alternatively they could make a Pokemon pet simulator. *shrug*

I guess there's a limit to what they can cram into one cartridge, but Im for any metagame that makes you bond with your team and dont just reduce them to battle fodder. It feels wrong.

I'm always torn between wanting to bond with my Pokes and my completionist tendencies to catch em all. It'll take forever to bond with these boxes and boxes of new friends, man

I'm referring to the ones that were not in Dream Radar

The birds, the beasts, the golems, and Heatran still don't have their Hidden Abilities

Haha, I am doing ALL OF THESE THINGS.

559 captured, and my method of fluffing out the dex (tacking one or two pre-evolutions onto the end of my team and doing an E4 run) has let me get three or four of my favorite 'mon up to level 100. Sylveon, Zoroark, and Chandelure hit 100 last night, Victini and Cradily are almost there, and I have five or six more lined up that are 10-15 levels out.

And on top of all of that I have years worth of accumulated Blaziken to level up. I have SO MANY Blaziken at or around level 100, and a few Espeon. I don't even know how many years I spent playing and replaying Sapphire, Emerald, and XD/Colosseum. :psyduck:

Double post because idgaf:

You know how the GTS is full of bullshit or impossible trades? My way of getting around that in Gen IV was to be a Munchlax supplier - you could throw a Munchlax up on there are get anything you wanted for it. Is there a similarly high-demand Pokemon in Gen VI?

Also, speaking of bullshit trades: I cashed in a Zapdos for a JPN Ditto. I'm not obsessive about shinies, but there is always the chance of an accidental Masuda Method shiny.

...or you could just put up bodaciously anything of equal value and you'll get the Pokemon you want within a few hours?

Starters, eevees, version exclusives, and pre evos of pseudolegends are all safe bets. The only gts trade I've done in AS was a deino for an axew, so.

Also handy for GTS are the pokemon that only appear on Mirage islands, like Porygon (also notable for being rare or expensive in any game bar Platinum), Glameow (ORAS is the first game since Pearl it's been catchable, it was more valuable in XY) or Tynamo.

I had no idea about Glameow or Tynamo.

Munchlax on GTS got me a Dusknoir, just evolved Aron and Loudred, and finished the Hoenn dex!

211 mon = Oval Charm yaayy
