New Symmetra is so good and fun, they nailed it with her barrier and shield generator. She becomes an active part of a fight instead of someone who just snipes from the back until you lose a point.

So they put out a new holiday comic

Tracer confirmed to be in a committed lesbian relationship with a non-Overwatch lady, Torbjorn has like a dozen kids who Rein reads stories to, Genji writes Mercy letters, Pharah is hanging out with someone who is either her boyfriend or possibly her father, Sombra and McCree are at a bar, Reaper is stalking a family that may be his, Widowmaker's hanging out at her husband's grave, and a photo implies that Ana and 76 may have a kid.

I'd say a few of those are jumping to conclusions but we certainly got an interesting look at what the characters are doing in their downtime. Gotta say I didn't expect Tracer to be lez, but I'm not at all surprised either. I thought her story was super cute.

Gameplay note: Symmetra is totally going to be nerfed eventually. Maybe not next patch, as people start settling in and finding counters, etc. But my bet is that the shield generator will be nerfed and possibly the range on her primary fire will be reverted.

When I saw the part in the comic with Reaper I thought he was stalking another Overwatch agent to ruin someone's Christmas. I like the idea that it's his family instead.

Symmetra is too newly buffed to be nerfed so soon, people just haven't gotten the chance to figure out how to fight her yet.

I'm less excited to see that Tracer is gay, and more havign feels over the fact Tracer visited Winston for Christmas as if he were family. That got me good.

Mostly just where I straight up said implying, but all those kids being Torbs was confirmed on twitter, and you can see Mercy reading the letter in the bottom right. (Which everyone has already compiled into him writing her 'I need healing' of course.)

So what did everyone get from their free lootboxes? I scored a Pharah ice skin and her toast victory pose. I also got a Reaper one and I'm hoping to god above that I get the Nutyatta skin.

I got jack crap merry pringles overwatch

I got Elf Tracer and one of the legendary ice hockey Lucio skins. In the same box. The rest was meh.

I dropped some cash and leveled a bit, plus my free lootboxes, so I got Nutyatta (twice) Reaper, Torb, Lucio, Roadhog, Zarya and Sombra (plus her green punk legendary) and bought McCree's with tokens (want Mei and Winston's but haven't gotten either and they're ludicrously expensive for tokens) plus Symmetra and Widowmaker's intros, and Zarya and Mei's emotes.

No nutyatta for me. I have enough credits to buy him, but I'd rather buy both the mccree and reaper skin instead. Oh well, I don't play Zen much anyway.

I got Rudolph the red-nosed Roadhog now. I still want Zenyatcracker.

My goal with this event is to own all the ornament sprays but my consolation prize is having all the Symmetra stuff if I end up not achieving this.

I just really want the Mei skin. :< Snowman ice block, man.
