But Pokemon games aren't bad.

You and me hold very differing opinions, then.

[intensely horrifying Songbird music intensifies]

Also, Mega Evolution is now present in the anime, so... that means that it takes place in the timeline where doods got rekt 3000 years ago? But the Hoenn they went through was the "other" Hoenn... right? (I know it's just that they none of this came up until well after that part of the anime, but still)

The anime has its own separate canon, as do all of the manga versions.

Got Alpha Sapphire today. Here's info on the dexnav I know so far.

I chose to test out the Dexnav and its features by hunting for a nice Ralts, every time I got into a battle with Ralts in a patch with its head poking out, my search power increased, and the higher my search power, the more info I got on the next Ralts I find, I found quite a few Ralts with some interesting moves, even breeding moves! So far I've seen some with Skill Swap, Grudge, and Synchronoise, and I wouldn't be surprised you could get Pokemon with hidden abilities this way. I can see myself using this feature later on.

Twitch Plays Pokemon is finally back!

Now I can play the game vicariously since I don't plan on buying it until after school is done.

I've been having too much fun with the DexNav. I hunted for a Poochyena for like an hour (maybe two I wasn't paying attention) and a Numel for another hour. Send help.

It's alright, it's not like Europe wanted to play the game anyway. No, really, waiting a week longer for it is totally fine.

Blame Germany.
And some other European countries with laws against depicting gambling in things being sold to children.

The Game Corner has been removed from all European versions as of Platinum, all American versions as of HeartGold and SoulSilver, and all versions entirely as of ORAS because keeping it in would cause the game to be given the absolute highest PEGI rating.

They could replace it with some kind of 'mini game arcade'.
Not playing for cheddar but playing for prizes instead. With skill-based things rather than luck-based.

That's how you run fighting game tournaments when university don't let you give cash prizes.

Well, aside from the lack of a Game Corner, I just love what they've done with Mauville. It's a real step up from the "city" that was pretty much just a street with like 8 buildings.

To be fair, all video games ever do the same thing with "cities". The only convincing cities I've seen came from gtav and maybe FF.
