I love when they do these little animations for the game protags. It increases my hope that they'll do more things more in the way of Origin. ORAS hype.

I did really like that short. So many megas. Don't really know why they would dub it. It seems too short to waste time on. If anything, they would just show the mega parade.

Info from early copies of ORAS is leaking right now but I'm going to avoid talking about it since breaking street date is a baaaaaaad thing.

However, I will let you know that the Mythical Pokemon Hoopa, if hacked into the game, as well as Skrelp and Dragalge with their unreleased Hidden Ability Adaptability can now be used online with X and Y, via trade or battle. Apparently Hidden Ability Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres can be used too. This may hint at legitimate availability in ORAS. It's even more fuel for Hoopa, considering it's been hinted at quite a bit previously, along with its lore in XY.

I apologize if this is considered questionable, I just felt the need to share the info.

It's a shame, then, that the birds have pretty bad Hidden Abilities. I mean, seriously, did Articuno really need Snow Cloak, of all things, when it could've gotten something useful? And why did they have to nerf Zapdos by changing the ridiculously good (though unreleased) Lightningrod to Static between gens 5 and 6?

Another big update: Shiny Zekrom and Reshiram, previously Shiny locked and unobtainable, can be traded now. Another lifted embargo hints at another special surprise.

Not catching them exclusively in their shiny form, mind you, just the possibility of no Shiny lock when you find them in ORAS, so you can soft reset for one.

EDIT: Hoopa can't be traded anymore.

IGN gave ORAS 7.8/10 because "too much water"

IGN confirmed for Team Magma

I can't believe that that excuse was only made in the American IGN review.
IGN in other countries gave the games a good score and water was never mentioned.

HOWEVER, I'd like to say that if it wasn't for the "too much water" comment, I'd be fine with the score, sort of. In this day 7.8 seems like a death sentence for a game when it clearly isn't. To that reviewer, it just wouldn't be what they wanted, but could still hold its own. I'm not going to get into the games journalism argument but the fact that this is considered a scathing review in this world of inflated scores irks me.

Also stop making it a meme for god's sake or else it's going to stop being funny after a while.

I know. And it's stupid.

However, there is one joke that made me laugh:

In a world where game revierwers understood how a rating scale works, 7.8 would mean well above average, a pretty good game.
