Midriffs? Gen III?
Pike Queen Lucy.
We must have a return of Battle Frontier.

That was my favorite battle area in the Frontier.

The Battle Pike was the best. It's the only one I got the gold medal from. I think I went through there a hundred times.

I just really like Seviper.

That must have been a popular spot, because it was one of my favorites too. My other favorite was the battle tourney or whatever it was called. I never really won any medals, but that was the place I was the best at.

The one where the Cockfighting Society fought for themselves was kinda' cool. The different natures had different priorities (attacking, defending, buffing, debuffing).

It was basically playing roulette, but I bet if I went back to it now I could suss out a passable strategy that would make it more engaging.

My Queen... <3 <3 <3
I had the HUGEST.......... childhood crush on her.

Also, yeah, me too; the Battle Pike is the only one I got stuff from, really.
Also also, in the anime, I remember screaming at my TV when she didn't get with Brock.
Strangely, that was also around the time I started taping the corners of my eyes back for no related reason whatsoever.

Oh yeah, and Platinum definitely didn't have some sort of plot-changing story from Diamond and Pearl, riiiight?

We're talking about remakes, wait another four or five years for Platinum's plot to be an argument point.

Actually, it's about bonding with your Pokemon.
For example, I love hugging my shiny Gardevoir in the grbooty for mutual pleasure.
No amount of tryhard EV training could ever forge true bonds such as this!

.............w-...what?

...what?

I'm pretty sure this game's attack mechanics aren't going to be any different from X and Y, dude. The original gen 3 games might have divided physical and special attacks by their type, but no game has done that since. It would be stupid to do it now and make online battles between XY games and ORAS impossible.

He meant the new physical-special mechanics. It's referred to as a "split" because moves are determined by contact rather than type, so, for example, Fire Punch is now "split" from its special-dominated move type.

He's afraid of going back to Hoenn with the new mechanics.
