sohype, SO HYPE. you are right it does look better than x/y cause they are refining the 3D aspects. it seems like they will actually kind've move up to attack now?

also what was up with the sneaking in the grass towards that pickachu?

New feature, I assume.

maybe we'll get to use it on Faraway Island to catch Mew

Also file size was revealed to be about 1.8 GB, about 100MB larger than XY for comparison.

Thank goodness the localized trailers never have a shitload of talking over them. Especially with the fact that I don't know Japanese, it gets annoying when I just want to hear the music. The music is the one thing the Japanese trailers have over the localized trailers-mostly the fact that they actually have different tracks rather than TITLESCREEN 24/7-but the talking just ruins it.

Woah dude

One of the things I didn't like about XY was how ugly the graphics were in comparison to other 3DS games, so while ORAS still aren't up to standard, I think it's a huge step up

I just hope battles don't drop frames in 3D

Maxie's face in the trailer is what made me laugh the hardest. I mean he looks so damned angry, it's hilarious.

So, to tie in with the Phantom Forces TCG set release, in mid-October we'll (only US announced so far) be getting a Shiny Gengar that is being distributed in Japan a few days from now...to tie in with their Phantom Force TCG set release.

Immediately following that, we're (also only US announced so far) finally getting Diancie!

Oh, and they're both serial codes to be handed out at GameStop. WAAAAAAAAHHHHHH GAMESTOP IS TERRIBLE NINTENDO STOP GIVING THEM DISTRIBUTIONS I WANT MORE WIFI EVENTS WAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH is what I see all around social media right now.

Uh, that's in Japan. America-no, most of the world-sees very little big-screen show time for dubbed Pokemon movies nowadays. In fact before Cartoon Network got hold, I'm pretty sure some of them went directly to DVD.

Cartoon Network is broadcasting the dubbed movie sometime this fall. However, international distributions do sometimes run close to the day the movie is aired on CN (or whatever network a specific country has that matches it), so you're half-right.

I have been lied to

also, question: I know it isn't possible to increase a pokemon's stats once it reaches level 100, but say you get a level 100 pokemon, EV train it, and then use it in an online battle. Are the EVs applied to its stats for the battle?

In gen 6, EVs are applied immediately, so level-up graphics only show base stat growths.

Europe gets the Shiny Gengar and Diancie too! What a surprise!

The Gengar serial code will be at GAME stores from mid-October to the beginning of November. The Diancie codes will be distributed immediately following the Gengar event.

Aand still no news for Australia. Hopefully we get them - I'm not sure if we got the Pinsirite/Heracronite codes over here, though we did get Magmar/Electabuzz.

Edit: It's that time again! New mega evolutions - Gallade, Camerupt and Sharpedo - one, two and three

Gee, I wonder what Maxie's and Archie's megas are going to be? Actually, I approve of mega Sharpedo.

The abilities of Primal Kyogre and Groudon have been revealed as well: Sea of Beginnings and Land of Endings, respectively. They respectively activate "strong rain" and "strong sunlight", which I'm guessing means weather that doesn't end in 5 turns this Gen. Maybe even negates the effects of Cloud Nine and Airlock(or whatever Rayquaza's ability is). If that's the case, Primal Kyogre and Groudon are going straight to Uber, no questions asked.
