No need to point out that it's planned for arcade release right now, most if not all of Namco's fighting games are released on arcades first before porting to console. Consider this Japan's "Early Access". I just hope we won't have to wait TOO long for a port and later a localization.

Pokken Fighter seems like one of those Japanese oddities I'd suspect to stay in Japan, they did it with Cockfighting Society Tettra and whatnot, so this wouldn't surprise me if it ended up Japan-only.

No way it's staying in Japan, Street Fighter 4 didn't.

That's because Street Fighter is a series that's been in America for a long while, it's one of Capcom's biggest titles that sells really well in America, so there's an interest to get it translated and ready for American audiences.

Something like Pokken Fighters really wasn't something many people asked for in America, I'm not saying it doesn't have a chance, I just feel that in my own opinion it won't really go outside of Japan.

That's not true, actually. Were you around for the leaked development footage back before X and Y were released? Then came the news of the registered trademark. People were hyped to the breaking point for this. And even if it wasn't leaked, Tretta is completely different because it's a series that started in Japan and wasn't deemed popular enough, especially since Tretta involves actual arcades, as well as paid collector's pieces that don't affect the games at all. Tretta is one of those "only desperate people would like this" deals. This is a fighting game, almost always popular everywhere. It's a Pokemon game, without any doubt always popular everywhere. It's a Pokemon fighting game. People would eat this up like a chocolate cake with frosting made out of rainbows and laughter. Not to mention, the trailer, with the logo cut out and English text slapped on, was shown on TPCi's YouTube. You don't see Tretta commercials being localized, if there are any.

Note that not many people cared about the Dynasty Warriors franchise and here's Hyrule Warriors selling like hotcakes. You brand it with Nintendo, it's going to sell. Nintendo could sell forklifts with their logo attached and make hundreds.

Oh please by Arceus have some awesome dark type choices in this game. Actually, what will the roster be like for this game? I'd imagine it's going to mostly be final evolutions. 4-legged mons seem like they would be to difficult but I wouldn't put it past them to try and fit some of them in.

We already know Lucario, Blaziken, and Machamp are going to be in, so I think it's going to be mostly reserved for bipedals

I'd love to see Zoroark make an appearance
Edit:

I JUST LOOKED UP POKEMON TETTRA
HOLY SHIT

Because we don't have arcades.

Arcades are a dying breed in America. You find a few holdouts here and there, but for the most part arcade machines are limited to family fun centers where the kinds of people going there are families with small children and thus are just there for funsies and not into playing any of the games seriously.

We're lucky to have an arcade here in my city that has a fairly good fighting game turnout, as well as a solid dance game community. But a game like Cockfighting Society Tettra just doesn't have an audience here. I wish it did, but it doesn't.

I'm thinking if Zoroark were in the game it would either be the Mokujin of the game where he morphs into different characters and uses their fighting styles or he'll be like Shang Tsung (old Shang Tsung, the boss character) and copy moves from other characters by turning into them

Since it's been confirmed that not all playable Pokemon will be fighting type, so many cool possibilities have unlocked. yay.

Cockfighting Society Type Wild had: Gengar, Snorlax, Swalot, Lopunny, and Gardevoir (though Gardevoir made so many annoying sounds, oh my god). So I think there are plenty of dudes to choose from that aren't fighting type.

I want those pre-order bonuses. But alas, best we get is probably a 3DS bag with pokemon designs or something like that.

that part where they showcase team magma / aqua... i really hope the music that plays isn't archie / maxie's battle music.

it's probably just an overworld theme since it's a rather short loop, but i'm still worried about how they're remaking it, cause in rse it was so good
