Havent gotten to the part where Mega Evolutions start being used yet, jsut a lot of foreshadowing. Seriously, Im like 6 hours into tis game and I only have two badges, normally I'd have like 5 now. This is not a complaint mind you. Also, they finally corrected one of my main gripes with the older games, you have to wait forEVER to get the Pokemon you really want, sometimes even post elite 4, but now, they actually show up fairly early on.

The pacing in gen 6 is all over the place. The first 4 badges take like 3 times as long as the last 4.

If I know game development right, that means they blew their creative load on the first half of the game, thats usually how it goes. They pull out all the stops early on to keep you in, then theyre worn out and just try to pull everything across the finish line. See: Psychonauts, every single God of War game.

Probably. Several interviews before the games' release mentioned the absurd amount of effort they put into getting the 3D models for each Pokemon to look right. They probably burned out most of their budget in that department, I'd say.

All right, beat the E4 and Diantha and they.....were pretty easy, really. So yay for beating my least favorite Pokemon game storywise, I guess? I still enjoyed the game, but story was so, so weak. Maybe post-game will have some neat stuff, and no doubt Wi-Fi battles will be a joy.

There's barely any post-game past a quest in Lumiose and getting Zygarde.

The one thing I didn't like about XY was the fact that it takes god daisies forever to get to the second gym because Mega Evolution is SOOOOOO INTERESTING

My thoughts on the new Mega's that were leaked:

Mega Altaria looks fucking stupid in my opinion. Who the fuck designed that thing?

Mega Lopunny is just "meh" nothing really to say about it.

Mega Salamence is made of pure fucking "wat" It's like a boomerang if it had a dragon sticking out at you, like, what the fucking hell.

Mega Salamence is just all sorts of wrong.

I'm expecting fan-art of people using it as a hanglider.
