My hope is they integrate a way to set a battle style for story mode (single/double/triple/rotation/multi) and it would do that battle style for almost all battles, like Pokemon Colosseum kinda did 3 generations ago. They're balancing the game for doubles but making the players overly acquainted to singles.

I actually like most megas, with the exception of Char-X (too much pandering, OMG BLACK EDGY DRAGON)

To be honest though, Char Y was pretty disappointing for a Mega-evolution and I'm pretty glad that we ended up getting X, even if it's being over-hyped and basically becoming the default Mega for Charizard (and it meant yet again a popular Pokemon got more coverage than others).

The head spike, the weird wings, and just the overall aesthetic was just offputting for me. Frankly if Y didn't exist and X was the main mega, I wouldn't be upset.

The best megas though, in my opinion, tend to draw inspiration from earlier evolutions, or take the concept farther, like Ampharos or Mawile. I'm still kinda disappointed in Blastoise with the weird arm shells and lack of homage to Wartortle and Squirtle, feels like a missed opportunity.

Venusaur is pretty decent though. I like the mini-jungle on its back.

Oh no the made Charizard look even cooler, how dare they!

I feel like they really messed up with Venasaur, all they did was make his plant a little bigger and gave him clone markings.
I was really hype about Blastoise when he first came out but the mega design is a bit lacking, still love those canons though.

Some are really cool like Scizor, Garchomp, and Alakazam which make them seem more like an actual evolutions.

Absolutely, those are the best ones. That's why I love Kangaskhan's Mega as a concept (if not in practice because it's impossible for me to love something that cheap). On a similar note, I like the small throwback Tyranitar's mega has to Larvitar in that it regains its red belly colouring.

Edit: Forgot to mention - as of yesterday, I have an almost flawless shiny Onix! It's Brave, has Weak Armor (Turns into Sheer Force when it evolves) and an almost perfect IV spread - 31/29/31/31/31/0. I'm very lucky the Attack IV generated so high.

I would pay Nintendo maximum dollars to put MegaZangoose and MegaSeviper in there if they aren't already.

That Streetpass functionality was too good an idea for them to not implement. Will we get the rest of the record-mixing suite via streetpass? ... You know, the whole showing up in other game's TVs via Gabby and Ty, and that freaky guy in Mauville Pokemon Centre that changed whenever you mixed records. That'd be pretty cool.

The best thing about secret bases is challenging your friends there to battles. This needs to be a thing again.

The website wrote:
When you visit another player’s Secret Base, that base’s members will be hanging out there. You can talk to them or even battle them!

Confirmed by the marketing peeps running the website.

are you fucking kidding me

yes, BRILLIANT idea Nintendo, give a pokemon with three evolutions ANOTHER evolution, it's not like it's powerful enough already and there are plenty of pokemon who would have actually BENEFITTED from a new evolution.
