This is still the best song in the entire Pokemon series to me and I really hope the remake feels and sounds as good as this one does.
(also does anyone know why using the Youtube BBCode doesn't work for me anymore?)

I did like the Hoenn gym/champion remixes in Black2/White2, so I'm pretty hopeful that they'll do a good job with the OR/AS remixes.

Also, you need to take the "s" out of "https" in order for the vid to work. Like so.

Is it really worth it to raise your pokemons affection to max? How long does it take?

In the game having high affection makes your pokemon more likely to get critical hits, dodge attacks, and endure moves that would KO them. It doesn't work for battling with another person but it's useful otherwise.

And some pokemon evolve from high enough affection, like sylveon.

It's honestly pretty easy to do if you just train it for a while and don't let it faint. It's not really something you NEED to put a lot of effort into, just some time.

I think so far Sylveon is the only one to evolve w/ affection

I hate how they revealed Sylveon so early and got peoples hypes up for new evolutions to old Pokemon and then were like "NOPE NO NEW EVOLUTIONS EXCEPT SYLVEON"

I know Mega Evolutions are a thing but those are just the same Pokemon with a more badass look.

I stand by my opinion that mega evolutions are a dumb gimmick and I wish they hadn't been introduced.

thats not necessarily true. some of the megas completely change tactics in such a way as to pretty much make them almost a new pokemon.

i aint sayin mega > straight up new evo but to say they are the same exact pokemon is a falsehood

I do think Megas are pretty gimmicky, but in theory they're an interesting game mechanic, I'm tempted to take it seriously but then i remember this kid

Like honestly the only thing holding me back from really liking Mega Evo is the ridiculous designs, only a handful of them don't look stupid in my opinion.

Cave Johnson gave him experimental steroids. Lots and lots of steroids.

Only one I like is Mega Houndoom which seems to be an unpopular opinion?

I actually like most megas, with the exception of Char-X (too much pandering, OMG BLACK EDGY DRAGON), Heracross (It's... part robot?) and Kangaskhan (competitively broken). Kanga is actually a really cool concept, but it's too good.

Some of Gen 4's evolutions for older Pokemon would've made perfect Megaevolutions (Rhypherior, Lickilicki) and some Megavolutions would've been better as regular evolutions. But it's too late to do anything about it now. We're stuck with what we were given. No going back.

On another note, I really freaking hope they keep the Record Mixing stuff from Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald but make it work with Streetpass because I only managed to mix records with myself by borrowing my cousin's GBA.

It's funny, FireRed/LeafGreen added a wireless adapter to the GBA made redundant by the DS's wireless capabilities. HeartGold/SoulSilver had a pedometer that was made redundant by the 3DS counting steps. Hopefully they manage to avoid implementing technology for a single game that is then implemented in an actual handheld for Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
