i think they are mostly talking about emerald not adding much to what r/s added but emerald is my fave game so no fucks

1. they totally redesigned them (incredibly unlikely)
2. Mega evolutions (considering pokemon need stones to mega evolve, this is probably the case)

if it's the second one those are some bitchin designs.
