I dunno I don't really see the system behind it. Kinda like how Dark consists of "tricky/sneaky" moves but its still kinda vague as to what it actually is.

If I remember correctly, Dark-type in Japan is called Evil-type, if that helps at all.

dark= the dick type. pretty much every move is underhanded in some way to get an advantage. its why fighting is effective against it cause in a straight up fight the underhandedness doesnt work

So I found something interesting. Someones essentially done an info-bom of reasons why a Pokemon MMO wouldn't ever work....implying moves like throwing sand in your opponents eyes or using poison and powdered rohypnol aren't underhanded? And why would being a cheating bastard help you overcome psychic powers?

Actually, for the latter, my interpretation has always been that the Dark pokemon have such sick, twisted, evil little thoughts that trying to look in their minds is like putting your hand in a fire.

so why is fighting super effective then? punching them in the face oh man thats hard to do for just about any pokemon. every move a pokemon has is "underhanded" technically cause its fighting. it will use to the best of its ability to do anything to win (assuming the trainer isnt a dumbass).


now to answer about your "implying" : sand attack is a move thats actually used as a defensive measure against predators IRL. you dont normally see a pred using sand to blind prey so its not underhanded its a simple defense mechanism. if you want to interpret that as a dick move then man i guess stun powder/thunderwave/confuse ray/etc are all dark moves right?

poison has the same arguement, tho its offensive and defensive with snakes being an offensive example and plants being a defensive example.


the reason dark "cheating bastards" can overcome psychic is that they are immune to psychic. flat out. this isnt because they are evil as how the fuck would that even matter? dark hits psychic where it hurts most and thats in there mind.

My new favorite thing is to farm pokemon that evolve by trading, then wondertrade them. So far this is a pile of haunters and a graveler, but I just got a friend safari that produces boldores, so huzzah!
