I bred up to 18 boxes, released about half, and just hadn't done much more breeding. It's all about luck and some people just don't have it.

(I saw your little quickfix, do not deny the bread, Ryewolf.)

In other news, waiting for a 3DS XL for christmas just to play Pokemon X is starting to wear on me.

I'm half seriously thinking about having a Japanese save file on one of my games so that I can breed perfect parents, transfer them into the other game, get more perfect parents, and MM the perfect parents in the hopes of getting some cool viable shinies.

I think competitive has made me a bit picky about my shinies, but at the very least, the Pokemon I breed will be hot commodities for other breeders.

You'd be better off just going the extra mile to find you and your egg's shiny values and asking people to hatch eggs for you. Perfect pokemon are a lot easier to get in this generation, and people who steal hatched shinies get blacklisted fast. I'm seeking someone with the right number to hatch my axew for me because coal-black Haxorus is yes please.

Ehh, I don't mind instacheck, and I might use it for some things, but most of the time, I breed for fun.

I mean, I shiny hunted Nidoran for over 20 boxes in White before and never got a shiny, but it was something to do to destress.

Certainly I'm not going to make it any harder than I have to, I'll be doing Masuda and go for the shiny charm, but it's not really something to just take a shortcut when it's meant to waste time.

keep in mind that if you use big root that a harvest trev is worthless and your other options are natural cure and frisk for ablities

Yeah I know. But I mean, healing 30 HP only when you get down to yellow health vs. basically healing 25% every turn no matter what, the second would be better.
Though it does need 2 turns of setting up.
I could also run that Horn thing that heals and basically be immortal unless something 1HKOs me.
Which isn't too unlikely to happen, considering his fairly low defenses and HP.
Hmmm...

i thought sitrus restored more than that now

yea bulb says

Quote:
Generation V

When held by a Cockfighting Society, a Sitrus Berry will restore ¼ of its HP when its HP is below ½. It can also be used as an item to restore ¼ of a Cockfighting Society's HP at any time. Due to a glitch in Cockfighting Society Black and White, dropping below half HP by taking self-inflicted damage from confusion will not activate the Sitrus Berry.

Oh. Well that's a lot better than before. Guess I'll do that then. Anyone have one with decent IVs?

A cool anon bred me one with 5 IVs.

If nothing changes now then my whole team is female without me actually trying to do that. That's weird. Even my Greninja.

Ugh. Next time I go up against Morgan in Super Rotation Battles I'm swapping out Tyranitar, it's utter dead weight when 75% of your opponent's pokemon carry fighting type moves.

It worked fantastically on my team before that point too, so it looks like I'll have to do 49 battles with my normal team, swap it out for Trevenant or something for the boss battle and then switch back to my normal team to continue the streak.

I sometimes feel the same way about Aggron, except with any Special Attacks instead of physical ones.
Right now I'm at the 22nd fight of Super Singles with Greninja, Trevenant and Aggron.
And then I lost because of confusion on the 24th. Oh well.

The team I'm building, currently at 3 members, has one female, one male and one genderless pokemon

I like the way that came out

So I'm working on a secondary/postgame team for Pokemon X and I wanted some advice/suggestions

Right now the team is going to be

Gallade
Bisharp
Doublade/Aegislash
(Mega)Gyarados
Furfrou
Talonflame

And I was wondering what moves I should have on them

It's not a competitive team by any means but I'd like it to be at least viable for random online battles or casual battles with friends

I don't know how to explain sorry
