It looks like a fun game and Capcom is giving it a plug and that's nice.

THANK YOU. :colbert:

I'm not really displeased and I'm still going to play it because it looks sweet, it's just that I'd wish Capcom would make a proper official Mega Man game since it's his 25th birthday.

I'm keeping my expectations in check but they said there's more coming. Probably nothing mindblowing but we'll see.

It's still just a fan made game though isn't it? Or did Capcom pick it up or something?

It is still fanmade, but being considered official and having free ads by Capcom itself is a nice plus. And it has music by A_Rival who is a GREAT chiptune artist (and also a good rapper).

seems like they're endorsing and giving it some publicity, instead of sending a C&D or something

p. neat

Capcom never once sent a C&D to any fan project, as far as I'm aware

Street Fighter X Mega Man is out for free.

Please download it from there: http://www.capcom-unity.com/mega_man
I know it's pretty slow, but Capcom wants to keep track of the number of downloads as much as they can.

Mega Ran is giving out his Mega Man, MM9, both MM10, and 5th Anniversary albums for "free". (it's name your price but you can put 0 and download it.)

I don't want to be just extremely overly negative about every little thing (I mean I kind of am but I at least try not to be) but did this really require its own trailer?

They had the Mega Man 10 fangame change it's name and some of the robot master names, but that's as far as I know of.

Considering Mega Man has been 'rebooted' so many times already, I think a game like this would've been met with more positive feedback than negativity - but of course the main reason this game never came to pass was probably because of the whole 'Keiji Inafune leaving Capcom' thing.

The videos are fantastic, I would've played this game over and over - and the talents who made the Metroid Prime games could do no wrong in my opinion. It's a shame to see that collective talent part ways/fade into the ether as it has.

Oh, what could have been...

i dunno if i like the bit about X becoming a bad guy, unless they were able to work that in somewhere where it makes sense

because like the whole point is that X could go maverick at any point but doesn't because he's X
