Ya know, once Shinies become more common, they just stop being special.
So yeah, I probably won't be that excited if I get any shinies this generation.
You say until you get a shiny you like.

I noticed another thing. Trainer Pokemon have a much better type coverage this time around. I fought a guy with a Machamp who had Stone Edge and Earthquake, who would have totally wrecked both Aegislash and Talonflame if it hit.
Yeah, I hated the fight girl in reflection cave because her Throh and Hawlucha wanted to one shot my Braixen, Mothim, and Honedge. It's like "dude, calm down, this isn't even the third gym badge town yet."
Plus, fuck the Sky battlers with Emolga and Acrobatics.

Holy shit what's with the big monster dude on route 13 that's creepy as fuck
Not terribly spoiler since I'm not much farther than you, but
yeah, he's like 9 feet tall according to NPCs, so super weird. Also, check all of the buildings on the North Boulevard. You'll thank me when you find out that
you're not the one.Kitsune Dzelda wrote:
Wait, you can bring berries to a Battle Hall challenge? Dont they take the item away?
Yache is a held item berry. It makes the Pokemon holding it take half damage from the type the berry covers. Yache covers Ice-type so Garchomp will take half damage the first time it's hit (because the berry will be consumed).
Held berries also regenerate between battles.

Though I think tipping probably just boosts your fashion level which effects a lot of things (For example the guy who sells you kanto starter megastones lowers his price based on your fashion level) Maybe the shiny rate is effected by this too who knows.
I have the guide and I don't think that increases your fashion level. In fact, it doesn't seem to mention tipping despite mentioning a lot of shit that hasn't been mentioned before, like berry mutations.
The things it says to do to increase your prestige in the city are:
-Have an audiobook tour at the Lumiose Museum
-Make a PR Video
-Try the Loto-ID Lottery
-Get your hair did and your Furfrou trimmed
-Buy Juice and Galettes
-Take the cab, the Gogoat, and the train (post-game)
-Shop at the herb shop, stone shop, Pokeball shop, and boutique
-Have meals at all 4 restaurants (1 star, 2 star, 3 star, and sushi bar)
-Battle in the Battle Institute
-Help out at Hotel Richissime
-Talk to Alexa at the Lumiose Press
You need to do all of these to get the last O-Power and to get the Megastones down to 10K to buy.
