Actually the EVs are applied as soon as you earn them in Super Training - So you can manufacture a fully EV trained Pokemon without them ever having to battle.

That's the beauty of it.

That's neat. I'm glad that they reworked one of the more obscure and grindtastic aspects of the game.

I just read up on this and I have to say that I was shocked to find that I have to pay extra to be able to transfer my Pokemon from generation V over to generation VI.

There is a month's free trial but you gotta admit that's kinda underhanded of GF/Nofriendo - we've never had to pay to transfer over Pokemon in the past.

As far as I can tell it goes up around December.

Az also has a kickass design, not to mention that he plays a major role in the story.

True, but they said from the beginning that they were having much trouble trying to connect DS to 3DS and I'm glad there's a way at all to transfer your pokemon instead of them going "sorry, we couldn't find a way that we could have offered for free."

it seems to be their more permanent solution to the problem of keeping pokemon

it's not just to transfer them, it's bodaciously to hold them for the foreseeable future, probably for multiple games, across a very long time span

that's why it's a service they're charging for, it's not gonna be for just this one game it's gonna be for quite a bit and they'll need cheddar to run the servers
