Because Rapelay is full of lolis. Also, you won't much adult games AT ALL on the consoles, not for lack of want, but because stuff like that won't sell. You can't exactly package virtual rape simulators out in the open of the store, and most people wouldn't buy them in public.

tl;dr It has nothing to do with the players, it has to do with how they're gonna sell the game.

I don't quite know whats in Rapelay, I obviously haven't played it as thoroughly as you. But we both know that somewhere out there there are pedophilic PC games being shared as freeware.

It's not a lack of consumer demand, its the publishers. The consumer wants it, don't get me wrong. But its the same problem Adult videos have, you can't sell them along with regular games in stores. Look at what happens with video games that are to violent, or any with a lot of sexual content. Console adult games just don't sell well at all.

The other problem is that a lot of people might feel a bit iffy about buying a porn game in a public store for others to see. They'd rather keep it private. Its why a lot of porn games are online, cause then you don't have others seeing that you're getting it. Its hard to explain, I guess. That just my thoughts on it.

Interesting theory, but there's no reason why adult games couldn't be therefore sold in stores that specialize in adult movies and books. Social pressure would no more affect it than any other physical adult thing, as well as not really adressing the lack of it in XBLA, Wiiware and PsN.

And by the way, I've seen hentai sold in comics stores before. Give a man a bag and he can get it home with no-one seeing.

And personally, I feel all pedophiles should be made to live away from civilised socieities for being sick and wrong, and alive only by our collective mercy for not strangling them in alleys. But thats just me.
