I find it weird how the whole fight is over the word 'scroll'. You shouldn't be able to copy right a word that is use so commonly.

Also, I vote yes to making a new thread for this discussion so people can continue discussing Minecraft (not it!).

As long as the game is named Scrolls, regardless of subtitles or other frilly shit, it remains a threat.

Some of you seem to forget or don't know that if a company doesn't want to lose trademark it must defend against any and all possible threats to it. Notch could very well put out "Scrolls:BS" and then later successfully challenge Bethesda on the grounds they did not stop it having Scrolls in the name.

This is the kind of asinine bullshit trademark law forces holders to do. And regardless of what Notch says about "standard procedure" applying for a trademark for all scrolls everywhere is a huge red flag.
