Yeah, they're always tough.

In more positive news, Megaman 2 is coming to 3DS virtual console in Japan, so hopefully we'll see that released over here soon. I recall hearing that there was a demo of it with 3D layering effects back when the 3DS was still being worked on, maybe we'll even get that version?

On my first playthrough of MM2, I tried using the Metal Blades, but on my second I found it easier with the Bubble Lead [the true weakness]. Then again, I've only been able to finish the game on Normal [Easy] mode, so yeah. Though the damage it takes is the same for either difficulty.

NOW YOU KNOW.
AND KNOWING IS HALF THE BATTLE.

PLAYN' MEGAMAN X5 ON PC

WHY THE FUCK NOT

MY GOD THE CONTROLS

It's like, they're fine and dandy and good, and they work, but sometimes the game is like "WAIT NO YOU GOTTA LET THIS SPRITE FINISH THE ANIMATION BEFORE YOU CAN DO ANYTHING" and some of the level design is entirely against that.

Fun as hell until you reach those points, and then it's just annoying.

In MMX 4 through 6, most moves can be cancelled by a dash. Super useful with Zero, for instance, as you can cancel his normal Z-Saber slash with a dash, and cancel the dash with the normal Z-Saber slash, etc. Kills boss pretty fast too, since the normal slash doesn't give them any invincibility

I really don't use Zero. Ever. X is way too effective against everything. Zero forces me to get close and attack people, which usually ends badly. X has a lot more in the way of options. And armor.

Is this really wise? It's easy enough with the Metal Blades, since they've got better range, and that way you don't waste any Bubble Lead before the final boss.

The final boss is very easy though, so you can just take it out with the regular Mega Buster.

Can you? I thought the Bubble Lead was the only thing that could hit it. Huh.

MM2 is kinda easy in general tbh

Only really hard parts are that stupid wall turret boss in wily castle that needs to be killed with crash bombs, and maybe quick man's stage, but even that's p easy to figure out.

I think that 2 had the perfect difficulty on Normal, not easy, but not hard, just how i love my games.

I remember the first time i fought the wall turret boss. There are some ammo pickups at the start of the stage and i didnt know you got JUST ENOUGH crash bombs to kill them all. So i wasted my ammo on the walls, then went ALL THE WAY TO THE START OF THE STAGE to get the ammo and then returned to the boss to finish it off. Then I found out the actual way to do it and died. This boss killed me.

Yeah, I normally game over in the 3rd Wily stage at least once. Anyway, the Bubble Lead's consumuption rate is pretty low anyway, as long as your hits connect and you don't waste it, you may have enough to kill the final boss.
Also, assuming I didn't game over, the Tellies in stage 3 are good for farming weapon energy.
