Still runs like shit. 1.8 doesn't show 90 on my CPU in task manager. It's about 40-50 but 1.9 is 80-90 it's terrible.

it is a pre-release with debug code in it. Of course the game runs shitty...

the 1.8 pre-release wasn't this bad. Pretty sure notch was "trying" to fix memory leaks but made CPU leaks instead.

Oh man those Enderpearls coul be really helpful in adventure/parkou maps. Seems like a new rule will be "No enderpearls" pretty soon.
But hell they could be used to get up ledges and what not at an angle without having to build towers.

According to Notch's latest post, their current plan is to stop all development in a little over 2 weeks and then spend a solid month just fixing bugs and performance issues. So, we should be seeing a finished 1.9 patch relatively soon, and hopefully some patches addressing those pesky lag issues that have been plaguing everyone shortly thereafter
