To be entirely fair, that is basically how every quest for everyone has ever gone.

There is a difference between slowly progressing through the ranks and instantly getting appointed the leader.

There aren't ranks for any of them though. For the Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild, Companions, and Mage College, there's just everyone and a leader.

Still, the previous games had a much more natural progression to leaderhood imo. I haven't actually bothered to finish the other guilds yet, so idk how it goes there. Legion had a better progression than Mage College, although it was still kind of forced.

Also I seem to remember at least one person being a separate rank below Arch Mage, the one who promotes you even.

Even though I like knowing I'm pretty much the end-all be-all to everything in the land, it'd be nice if they didn't make you pretty much the king of everything.

Now that you mention it, the whole college was sorta weird.

They only had the two people in any sort of administrative position, the stereotypical old teacher, and then the 5 students.

Just how long ago was the great college disaster.

If it makes you feel any better, the guards are always ready to knock you down a peg or two. No matter how long you've been with the Companions, they always assume you fetch the mead.

I'd be fine with that if they all weren't worthless shit heads.

100 years-ish?
People got scared of it. No wonder there's barely any students.
Also you forgot the librarian.

There was the Arch-mage, his second-in-command, who also got killed and then the regular members who all had their specialty. And yes, the librarian.

I sort of took it as that the college has more members, but they don't all necessarily live there, only the ones doing some sort of research.

In Skyrim, I've always had this problem where I can't store anything in chests, with companions, or anywhere. Do you think getting one of the DLCs will fix it?

I've played a bit of Dragonborn and it's a lot of fun, even though the island is fairly small.

Those grey men in the trailer are not dreamers, nor are the flying creatures sleepers I think. The flying ones have some connection to the old Dragonborn and the grey ones are undead made of ash.

I have no idea why that would happen, Topaz.
Try deleting the Skyruim patch and then re-downloading it.

Try the Unofficial Skyrim Patch from the Workshop.

Solstheim has the classic Morrowind theme. I died of nostalgia.

Tried it; it didn't do anything.
