Pre-releases are just bug tests. Notch doesn't want another 1.6 incident where we had 6 DIFFERENT BUG FIXES. So he gives out a pre-release, takes all the feedback and bugs, and patches it up to make a less buggy update.

Bug test is a stretch. 1.9 is a huge fucking mess Notch is rushing this shit and just making everything worse.

You know when I first saw minecraft I thought it looked pretty cool. I was actualy interested in it before it was super popular, I learned about it off of a Herobrine creepy pasta. But to be honest I didn't want to get it. What made me really want it, was the proletariats. Honestly I think the proletariats make the game, which isn't very good, at least I don't think it is.
