Holy shit Minecraft is laggy as tits. I finally got around to playing it again and I installed 1.8.1.
I have the render distance at tiny and fast graphics and it's still insanely slow and jittery.

Oh crap, if I update to 1.8 on my Minecraft my computer will probably completely freeze up.

It's been around three days and I still haven't been able to connect to minecraft.net to get the update.

Well Idk about that, But it's kinda ridiculous to have had login problems for this amount of time.

It's probably about time they invested in some new servers - or at least they could've used some temporary 'buffer' servers to deal with the extra traffic around this update.

DND I had the same problem as you - just delete minecraft and re-download it again from the website and it seems to then work fine.

my god it's PIGS for me. Freaking FIELDS of pigs. I once saw a pig fall into a pit of pigs and take suffocation damage from TOO MANY PIGS.

it's this "persistence" business that's been added to animals. They don't despawn anymore. It's a good idea, but a flawed one. You have to slay wildlife CONSTANTLY just to have room to breathe. Might be because I've been living in a forest biome.

Seriously, is anyone else having this severe lag problem? I swear, if I have to wait until I rack up enough cheddar for a good gaming rig I'm going to punch something.
