I have no idea how I reached Disc 3 on that game, considering I played it back when I was still an illiterate eight-year-old who did all she could to avoid battles (and didn't level up the characters very much as a result).

When I finally did learn to read, the first thing I did was ask my brother was the "Format Memory Card" thing on the main menu of a racing game meant while selecting it. (Why was there a main-menu option to format a memory card in any game?!)

So, I replayed Final Fantasy VII with an actual understanding of what was going on in the plot with my new-found literacy superpowers and didn't avoid quite so many battles as I did before, and I was no longer scared of the giant snake in the swamp outside Midgar.

I've been doing the 72-man pvp thing in Final Fantasy XIV (3 teams of 24 allied)

I managed to get 14 kills, 1 death and 22 assists, getting #2 in all 72 fighters in kill numbers.

And I go around saying I would never PVP and that I hate PVP.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is releasing next week and I think I'm gonna get it release day. It's weird being this interested in a game that has had almost no hype.

I played about 10 minutes of Age of Decadence because that's how long it took for me to get my shit pushed in. The game does not play around when it tells you that resorting to combat is usually a bad idea.

ProJared is not going to be producing content for a little while because a pipe exploded in his house while he was away at conventions. The flood then led to an asbestos explosion, ruining almost everything.

Divinity: Original Sin II is dope as hell and I would like you to know this

I didn't expect to enjoy a CRPG as much, but it's great. Lots of depth, gorgeous graphics, and the fact that there's so many NPCs AND they all have something interesting to say AND there's meaningful, unique dialogue options AND they're all voice acted AND the voice acting doesn't suck? It's so nice.

I first tried it in Co-op, which was fun but one of my friends has played through the first area before so we kind of blew through it. So I made a new character and I'm going through single player myself, it's nice to be able to explore all the nooks and crannies and absorb everything at my own pace while I'm learning the ropes. I also made my character a Lone Wolf, so I can only take one companion in my party... which is nice because party management is complicated. It gives me some stat buffs to make up for it, so hopefully it's not crippling.

Also I found out that there's multiple ways to get past the first area, so the fact that I got my booty beat by some enemies doesn't have me too discouraged... yet. I'm thinking I'll explore some more, get more exp and gear, then I'll try again.

I played Hiveswap and then I played Death of the Outsider. They were very fun.

Can confirm Hiveswap was fun. About 50% shorter than I was expecting when I was playing it, but decent enough on that front I guess for just part 1. Animation and music were both excellent, so glad they ended up going with the 2D aesthetic, it's so much nicer looking. Pretty much immediately sucked me back into the world.

I bought Stardew Valley after wanting it for a while. I figured it would just be some peaceful game I could play for an hour or two when I am bored of other things. Nope. Already have put 18 hours into it and I bought it at 8 pm on friday. It's eating more of my time than Civ did lmao.

Decided to be a corporate slave and get Origin Access. Got Furi with it, and have been playing.

It was pretty fun up until I got to Indian Granpda wearing Beats. He takes way too long to actually attack and he's just really annoying in general. The main problem I have with the game overall is that the parry animation is just really... insignificant is the word i'd use. I find it hard to tell whether or not I actually parried and it makes it feel clunky.

I mean, it still is a nice peaceful game overall, it's just also a time vampire.

I recommend modding it, as well, just because for me, the default passage of time speed is a little ridiculous. Other helpful proletariats are the ability to save anywhere, one that shows your skill progress as live-updating bars on your UI so you know if you've done enough to level up when you sleep, and the one that gives enemies health bars (with a really neat idea; the more of that enemy you kill the more accurate the health bar becomes, going from "I hit them" to "They have roughly this much health" to "they have this much health" to "they have exactly this much HP.")
It's a little tricky to start modding it, but once you've got the mod API set up, they're all just drag and drop into the proletariats folder.
