I've been following this for a year and a half and they finally gave it a name and they're revealing their gameplay trailer in a few hours after the Tekken 7 tournament at Evo and I am excited.

I'd post this on the Miitopia thread, but I was the last one who posted there.

Anyway, you guys know there's a Miitopia demo available on the eShop, right?

The Icons gameplay trailer was a trainwreck. These gifycat clips that were put on the internet afterwards are way more interesting.

Bored as fuck, remembered I've only ever played the MMORPG Final Fantasy games, got Katie to tell me her favorite one and so I bought it on Steam

Final Fantasy IV

two things:
The Steam version is a PORT of the DS version, which I didn't think anybody did because it's a terrible idea, but it's not going too badly tbh
and also

Image

NOBODY WARNED ME ABOUT THIS GUY'S FACE
I had to tab out of the game I was laughing so hard. i cant keep playing, I just lose my shit every time I see its dumb face again
send help

On topic of Final Fantasy I've been playing Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age.
I love it, it's so goood!

I paid more attention to the story this time and honestly I think it does have a good story, and one of my favourite Final Fantasy endings.

I've heard people disregard it as it "plays itself" but it's as much playing itself as a strategy game where you tell troops what to do plays itself.
There's a satisfaction in making a set of gambits that makes your party destroy enemies and keeps themselves alive.
Plus status effects will typically make it so you have to interact with the battles too. Many times I've had to go to menu in the middle of battle to change gambits because of getting in trouble with the current gambit setup.

Plus going from the old damage limit of 9,999 to Image
So beautiful.

And Crash was already difficult enough.

Finishes Final Fantasy IV!
It was my first real Final Fantasy game, outside of XI and XIV (the MMO ones), so it was weird seeing all those character and musical tropes in such odd settings - I'm so used to FFXIV's story and setting!

So at the end, the second moon just flies away into space wtf THIS KILLS THE EARTH, ALMOST AS MUCH AS CLOWNMAGE MCHAMMERPANTS GOT KILLED AND DIDN'T COME BACK LIKE EVERYONE ELSE DID HAHAHA

I would highly recommend playing final fantasy 6. I've played through 4-12 (minus 11) and 6 is easily my favorite.

I can easily recommend every FF game from 4 to 12 (minus 11 as I haven't played it, but I heard it's great)

Oh yea, they're all pretty good. 8 and 12 get some hate because they did the combat a bit differently (magic farming in 8 and the weird RTS type combat of 12) but they're still pretty fun to play. I actually never finished 7 despite it being the most popular. Got distracted by some other game and just never went back to it. I enjoyed what I did play of it though (about halfway through).

I tried playing FF7 back in the day; I don't remember where exactly I stopped but I do remember it being where the plot had just run away from me and did it's best job to hide, still on disc 1. I kind of want to buy it on PC just to finish it because I remember greatly enjoying it when I stayed the night with a friend and I played it secondhand all night, but that might just be the game grumps type factor, and the fact that the PC version requires a bullshit amount of SquareEnix DRM involved with it. (And is still twelve goddamn dollars.)

The pc version also doesn't have the original ps1 music. For some ungodly reason they decided to use the midi versions from the old pc version so it sounds like dogshit. There's a way to replace the midis with the good stuff but it's slightly less than legal to do.
