I still have mine. Platinum is way better than D/P.

I also still have my HG and SS. Yunno, really expensive to get at least 1?

I might be able to find a semi-reasonable priced one online but I don't really trust internet resale. All my local shops either didn't have it or wanted $40+ for them.

Maybe I'll use that for a christmas gift idea, let other people try and get a copy.

Would those still actually work? I feel like the game wouldnt run without a CD key for steam, then again i believe the game came out before Steam, so who knows. I wasn't a pc kid past the Sonic 3 PC port.

Stronghold works, I used to have the big collection. I dont evem think they used CD keys, just required the CDs be in the tray.

So for the last few hours I've been hanging out with an indie developer/behavioral therapist named Kyle Ballentine. He created an RPG Maker game called To Ash.

This RPG has a twist in that the hero you play as has already saved the world and had his grand adventure, but reawakens much later to fight again. Now, as an old man, his body is breaking down, and as you gain experience you actually lose stats and abilities. He created the game to show stages of grief and acceptance in dealing with things outside people's control, and was inspired by his work with depression and anxiety.

I played for a while and I find myself avoiding fights and burning the big spells and stuff while I've got them. It's a dollar on Steam right now, so it'll be worth the experience even if you end up hating it.

Oh wow. So that means if you fight a ton, you could actually very well lose against the big boss in the end....

How do you win?

.... Yknow, what an interesting concept.

Contrary to what I believed upon reading the premise, you can't fight your way to death. But it will definitely help if you can avoid fighting when possible. It's an anti-grinding game, you DO NOT want to level up. Of course there's plenty of treasure being guarded by monsters, and your equipment will still give you boosts to offset your lower stats so you'll need cheddar and equipment, but it adds a choice to be made every time you see a monster guarding a chest.

From what I played, it's not a difficult game, but it doesn't hold your hand either. A brief tutorial at the beginning shows you the basics of combat (there's a permanent shield ally that uses "stances" to buff you in different ways) but otherwise you're basically on your own to figure out where to go and what to do. I mean, NPCs point you in the right direction of course, but there's not a journal or quest marker so you need to pay attention when they're talking to you.

I'm biased now though because the developer is a really cool guy with another idea already for his next game. He said he already made profit on this game through Steam so he's thinking about dropping the already low price to a ridiculous $2. I just got hooked on the idea of the game being a metaphor for accepting the inevitability of death and suffering. (I might have spoiled the end of the game for myself though, I ran a theory I had by him and he hinted that I was close so we'll see)

So on one hand, Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and 2.5 HD Remix are getting a single-disc port onto the PS4, which makes me relatively salty considering I bought both games at full price.

On the other hand, they finally revealed the opening for 0.2.

Just wait until three years after Kingdom Hearts 3.5 is released and they rerelease all of the games and spinoffs in a single compilation package.

Has anybody here bought that Dragon Quest Builders game? I got to the fourth chapter and kinda slowed down on it, it's pretty rough.

The sad thing is, this actually sounds like something they would actually do.

"KINGDOM HEARTS 3: FINAL MIX"
Japan exclusive.
