Fuck it. Just... I wasted that time and cheddar. This was a complete waste.

Sounds like actual game of thrones to me. 10/10 perfect adaption.

You just summed up why I hate Telltale Games pretty well.

Just finished playing XIII. The game ends on a flippin' cliffhanger. The title is 13 years old, the critics loved it (Even with it's obvious flaws), and is a pretty solid game. Why hasn't there been even a hint of a sequel?

And, to those of you who want to know what it feels like (But don't have access to the game), watch Taxi Brooklyn on Netflix. That series' cliffhanger is about on par with XIII's.

First, I have to say that I thought you were talking about Final Fantasy XIII and was super confused for a moment. Second, the fact that it ends on such a cliffhanger is a massive point against. Remember how much shit people gave Halo 2 for that? A sequel is never a sure thing and XIII's sales didn't match up to the reviews it got, so I wouldn't hold my breath.

EDIT: Picked up Breach & Clear because it's on super sale and, while the beginning cinematic immediately made me think it was funded by the Pentagon, it's actually an interesting tactical game.

Just finished up the FF15 Platinum demo, and uh...this is it?

Look, I get that it's a technical demo, I get that it's trying to be realistic in a sense of the word with its combat, and I get that it's meant to be a graphical demo that shows off alot of crap the game can do, but it still didn't really impress me past the graphics itself. The combat itself is annoying for me, I tried to figure out how the heck to warp(The demo just sort of shoehorns it in), and it just feels like a downgrade from games like Kingdom Hearts 2 that have great combat gameplay.

I also like how the game has some framerate issues at certain moments.

tl;dr the demo ain't that impressive, maybe a bit of refining and it can be great.

Final Fantasy 7 will be released as episodic content. What this means is that I won't be buying it.

Sick of this type of release schedule. I blame the TellTale games for making it popular.

I believe the gist of it was that they'll release them akin to FFXIII, XIII-2 and XIII LR, as in three "complete games" that tell one story. They did say that nothing was off the table when it came to changing the plot of the game, so it's quite doable. Still, if that's not your thing, that's not your thing.

Oh, I thought they meant like each original disc would be it's own release. Okay, that's a little better, but I'm still skeptical.

Until they show something otherwise I could only assume that's what that would mean.

I thought the way they clarified it afterwards was that they'd have "retellings" of the game in each episode. Like the first release would be a typical VII remake, while another game would expand the lore within the game or have a side story expanded upon, or a game to just turn everything in VII on it's head because AU where plot happened differently.

Not necessarily XIII pathway of games building off of eachother.

I dusted off and started to play Civ: Beyond Earth some more. Aliens are completely bullshit. Even on Sputnik difficulty there's dozens of them. Going Harmony means that they don't attack me if I don't provoke them but holy shit I can barely expand whatsoever; Some day I'd love to be able to choose the 3-hex ultrasonic fence tech, but the convoy version is pretty much mandatory.

I am also still not even slightly a fan of the tech web. You frequently get bullshit like learning to make buildings that require resources that require expanding in an entirely different quadrant of the web to be able to harvest.

Trying out the Battleborn beta, this is...interesting, I guess. It feels like it lacks the cohesive style Borderlands had to make sure they can add as many drastically different "Battleborn" as possible. I only tried one of the two levels and one match of PVP, and...it just feels really weak. I'm not having as much fun as I would in Borderlands.
