Been playing Cockfighting Society Blue and Bravely Default on my 3DS while I'm not playing Final Fantasy XIV.

I'm bit slow with the games at the moment. :c

I finished Shadowrun Hong Kong a while ago and just finished a second campaign. It's such a good crpg. I really wanna be a cyborg. All I want are robot arms to crush my enemies.

Watching videos of Super Mario 64 TAS stuff is oddly satisfying. This one person I follow had to INVENT new techniques to further the cause of a 100% run without pressing A a single time.
I have no clue how janky the code had to be in order to be able to do all these glitches.

trying to get more into MKX, because i really like the series, but christ almighty i think there's an actual block in my head that prevents me from doing any sort of input correctly when actually in a fight. in training i do just fine but the second there's any pressure at all i just become a flub machine.

Is there a word or term for that thing I see happen occasionally in games, where after playing a cutscene, the game will briefly flash an image of your character model/where you were standing in the game just before the cutscene started, before loading in the next scene?

To put it another way: you're playing the game normally --> cutscene plays --> brief flash of your previous position in the game --> next cutscene?

I've seen it happen enough in games that I thought there might be a name for it.

I've seen that happen a few times, but it's mostly prior to the next cutscene taking place in another location.

Its just model lag, usually its because cutscenes are done in engine but using pre-animated copies of your character. The flash is just the game tripping over its own laces getting the timing right to remove the cutscene copies and replace it with your character. Its generally a hardware issue, but not really like "something is wrong" but more just poorly optimized for the hardware its on.

I downloaded Dirty Bomb. Time to give it a go, I usually have some multiplayer FPS to play on the side in addition to whatever it is I'm playing. BF4 didn't quite get me hooked unfortunately, although it may be that I'll still return to it.

augh i need a new multiplayer FPS. TF2 kinda grew stale.
