It is complex, but after a while it gets simple after jumping through the flaming hoops made of razor blades over a sea of lemon juice.

I didn't have internet at the time I started learning, so I had to trial/error everything for, like, two years.

I made a sniper rifle that rapidly shot homing nuclear missiles, a few really simple atmospheric cutscenes and a game mode of reverse Tag (took three weeks of copying, pasting, and learning what didn't work to finally make it so a player making the first frag would become 'it' and get overpowered and put all other characters into a single team against that player, and whoever got the frag off of that player became 'it').
I also loved messing with locational gravity and velocity modifiers in custom maps, and geometry animations were fun to play with.

Going to be working on a project using the now-free Unreal Engine 4 and try and make my own game when I get a new PC. Yay games!

Edit: Now that I recall, that rifle looked good on paper, but it was hilariously poor design in practice.

I'll look forward to it, and hope you make a great game.

I hope so, too! I'm personally getting sick of only being able to write down plans for what I want accomplished with the project rather than getting it to a functioning prototype stage.

I'm really, REALLY trying with Banjo Kazooie and I just straight up do not find this game enjoyable. This feels like a chore to play to me.

3D platformers always seemed that way to me when I was little. I was also too dumb to put the controller down. Though, I started replaying a few of them last year and found myself having more fun than I did fifteen years ago.
Those toothy treasure chests in the second world of Banjo-Kazooie still need to burn, though.

I never had a problem with 3d platformers unless they also contained water levels. Water levels are the worst.

How about a water level where just touching the water takes away air and diving takes it away twice as fast?

FUCK YOU RUSTY BUCKET BAY

That's even worse.

I'm actually really good at 2d platformers, but I'm pretty awful at 3d ones. I still like them though.

I love 3D platformers! Banjo Kazooie is easily my favourite, I think I've completed it like 8 or so times... yeah, I play games over and over again a lot when I was young. Rusty Bucket Bay is still worst though. Played through Xbox 360 version this year just for fun sake and I still can't stand Rusty Bucket Bay. ESPECIALLY THAT JIGSAW BEHIND THE BOAT'S FANS AAAH.

Only one 'bad' world of whole game though, then again I like that seasons level. Think it was really nice touch.

Also does this thread include "Currently playing" or?

Been playing Fallout 3 half to death since I got it nearly 3 weeks ago. Played it as close to all day as I could every day, and decided to finish the main quest yesterday after I uncovered every single map marker except the one for vault 87, since there's just too much radiation there for me to even try to get close.
I'll probably go back to one of my later saves at some point and look for the remaining 9 bobbleheads that I haven't found yet. I think I still had two that I hadn't put in my stand yet when I went and finished the final main quest.

Either way, I've really loved the game and need to get the DLC so I can get more out of it.

Also started 4 the other day and I cannot get over how goddamn adorable Dogmeat is.

Re: bobbleheads, did you make sure to pick up Laser (or was it Energy) Weapon one when you were captured and you had to escape the enemy base? There's also another missable one but that depends what you have done to bomb in first major town you've gone to.

As of DLC, if you want to save cheddar, I'd say avoid Operation: Anchorage, The Pitt and ... the last one involving aliens. They're not really *great* but Broken Steel is really good & Point Lookout I remembered enjoying so much. But if you don't mind spending about... £20ish on DLC (I assume you got Xbox 360 version? Or is it PC)? then yeah, they're worth some of your time.

I did the new Tutorial Island quest on RuneScape.
Vannaka taught me how to use a 2 handed sword with one hand.
This is what my character said when getting the training details.

Yep, I got Energy Weapons and Strength. I've only ever done good stuff in the game, so I wouldn't have ever made the Strength one inaccessible. It's lucky I got the Energy Weapons one when I did, although fortunately it wasn't hidden in any way.
The others I have are Agility, Melee Weapons, Big Guns, Charisma, Lockpick, Medicine and Sneak.

I know Broken Steel is absolutely necessary in order to survive beyond completion of the Take it Back! quest. Hopefully I can catch that and Point Lookout during a Steam sale at some point in the future.
I can't see myself not enjoying any part of the game, but if Operation: Anchorage, the Pitt and Mothership Zeta aren't worth it then I'll steer clear of them.

I play all my games on PC. The only non-handheld consoles I have are a Sega Mega Drive model II and an original Xbox. It's less space-occupying to upgrade the innards of a desktop than it is to shell out for a whole new console every generation.

Ah, I only say Xbox 360 because when you get Fallout 4 on Xbox One you get Fallout 3 for free on Xbox 360 (as you can play it on Xbox One's BC). I really need to get my Fallout 3 to work on my PC, as I miss Fallout 3 (I love exploring on that one) but I don't want to put up with XBox 360 version again. But yeah, you're sorted on bobbleheads - these two are only ones which are missable.

At the moment I'm playing through Yakuza Dead Souls on PS3, I love Yakuza games and despite this being spin-off/non canon, it's still amazing. I also got Yakuza 5 downloaded, but I won't touch it until after Christmas as I want to go back to Xenoblade Chronicles X on Wii U, still not done Chapter 7 on that one.

Also playing Final Fantasy XIV Heavensward off & on, right now there's not much to do (well, 3.15 is out but I don't want to do the relic grinding) but I'm enjoying my time with it still.
