What would you guys suggest for a decently priced PC game controller?

A 360 controller

I use a Logitech wired and it's pretty good.

Can't delay a game when it has no release window, champ. GF announced DP when they didn't even have an engine figured out for it.


Which part? Because GF released their Pokken tech demo to tease fans and gauge reaction 2 years ago and had been working on an HD title around 2011-2012 after receiving dev kits from Nintendo. They were featured at E3's booth of a list of devs "currently developing for WiiU" which sparked the whole Pokemon Snap U craze. Unless they've been working on another project that got abandoned or is shooting for a 2018 launch, Pokken's tech demo that was handed to Namco for fleshing out was what game Freak was working on.

Also it is not doing good in Japan. Partly because a $1 play can easily get you about 45 minutes of gameplay, meaning lost sales on arcade, and Japanese gamers don't like it.



Looking through serebii's archive, the largest gap I can find between game release and game announcement/"exciting new Pokemon reveal" to hint at future game (Unobtainable formes with hints about how to obtain later) is 11 months for Platinum. If Zygarde's information counts towards Game Freak announcing a game in the future (when it exclusively discussed the anime) then GF hasn't deviated so long as they actually announce a game soon.

We'll see in December.

Who gives a shit, they're going to use the same engine they used for the previous Gen 6 games for this game so obviously Gen 4 is a special case and should be ignored

The pattern doesn't matter, the point is that they aren't just sitting around and doing nothing, they're still working on the game and, again, will announce it when they fucking want to

With Battlefront coming out today, I've noticed more than ever that there's a double standard now being applied to multiplayer-only retail games where "No single-player campaign" is viewed as a legitimate complaint. Judging a game for what it isn't (and was never intended to be) rather than what it is has always been one of my annoyances with the way people talk about games, but this is an especially heinous brand of that. A single-player title with no multiplayer component gets a free pass, but nobody wants to give multiplayer only games any slack. Reviewers fairly criticize them for things like being utter crap (Brink), not having enough content at launch (Titanfall), or having psychotically convoluted DLC schemes pushed by the publisher (Evolve), but they almost always come with an aside that the game would be so much better with a campaign. Hopefully Overwatch is the game that gets these people to stop this.

Congrats, you brushed off an article as lazy research without doing any of your own. This one even links to a Japanese article with tweets from companies and fans talking about the situation in the comments. It's been news for weeks.





Yes, which is why I said I was annoyed that it's taken them this long. They do not need to make an engine, they pushed out ORAS within a year of dev time when they confirmed that the X/Y team were on it, and we're already getting hooks in with the anime about future releases which usually happen after it is announced. Game Freak can do what they want and even announce a game a month before release if they want to (though marketing, leak prevention, etc. would not be worth doing so). The entire point of this argument is how it's frustrating as a fan to get nothing but "sit tight" for over a year with no payoff.



You're bodaciously arguing with me over whether my opinion of them delaying a game announcement is good or not. And that's silly. I'd rather them announce early and spend a year hyping the game rather than playing coy about it. That's my gripe, not whether GF is allowed to do this with their IP.

Well, the original Battlefront games had a pretty extensive and fun singleplayer campaign, so those complaints are pretty understandable imo.

That's true, but EA killed Pandemic who was responsible for those amazing campaigns and frankly DICE isn't the best at single player experiences. That, and Disney probably had DICE's hands tied in regards to what they could do lore-wise.

Pandemic might have made another good mercenaries game given the chance. Bleh. I was interested in battlefront, but then I've heard It's just dumbed down battlefield. It doesn't even have as much depth as battlefield.

Still playing Disgaea 5. Best Disgaea yet IMO.

Anyway I just beat one of the toughest bosses in the game.
Giant Maxed Proto Darkdeath.
He's already strong as is, but not only had I encountered him in a level 300~ Trapezohedron. (Strongest stat booster in the game.)
I had the enemy difficulty turned up to 20 stars. (The maximum.)
And I still wiped the floor with him.
But I'm not done yet. I only have 51m intelligence on my sage. I want her to have 99m int. And for this I continue my ventures into Trapezohedrons.
